(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

Those two could co-exist. I would put TJD in more of the 5 category at this point. His game stays within the 3 point line. I wouldn't lay down much money on Hurt ending up at IU but I do think IU will go for it. I expect an OV and if you're in the top 5 for a player of this caliber it's negligent not to.

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

With regards to TJD, I don't know when he commits but something would have to change for him not to end up in Bloomington. It's pretty well known in coaching circles and more than one HM coach has said they're out on TJD bc of Indiana. Things can always change, but that's absolutely what is being said Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

Brooks is just pretty wide open, anyone trying to call that a certain way is BS'in you. IU is certainly in the top tier but he's listening to anyone who wants to jump in. And he's having a great spring so that's probably a logical approach Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
  4. IMO, they can co-exist. IU is hell-bent on taking a guard in this class, so they're selling it.
  5. IU has a shot with a few rising PG's in this class, and they need one. Granted, UM and OSU are out in front here but it's important to get this cut. This puts IU in a position to land an OV which can change the whole thing. Also important bc the "big boys" are out at this point.

(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA

Trayce's game is still developing amongst the obvious potential. I agree, if I were putting money he'd be gone in a year. But I can see a 2 year guy out of him. In terms of offense, there is plenty of development to be had outside of 15 feet. Defensively, he has the instincts at this point.

    This is actually very true
  8. Archie has it figured out. I love what Romeo brings next year, but it's bigger than that.
  9. Hate when that happens.

  11. I get that IU is "there" w Hurt. I'm telling you i'd be shocked if Indiana is a real player when it comes to the decision. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU

IU and Bama for sure. Penny's hiring seems to be shooting waves across the circuit so that's one to monitor, imo, for anyone in the South.

True. I also wouldn't consider Vandy a player here

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU

Some recent talk about Vandy getting involved. Do I see him going there? No. Would it be negligent to not try given recent recruiting momentum and region? Yeah
  18. I'm going to post in the Watford thread

    2019 General Recruiting Thread

Coaches let kids/coaches know if they're evaluating them. They talk. The whole thing funnels down to interested parties and, ultimately, reporters
  20. It's been a long ride, but it's Indiana.

    2019 General Recruiting Thread

Okay, first eval period is finished. Let's recap a bit and I apologize for being scarce.... First, I'm going to look at team needs. 2019 IU: Seniors: DeRon Davis; Devonte Green Juniors: Justin Smith, Al Durham, Clifton Moore Sophmores: Damezi Anderson, Robert Phinisee, Jerome Hunter, Race Thompson, Jake Forrester The last unofficial addition in '18 won't impact scholly numbers... so IU is looking at 3-5 (2 potential transfers); so let's say they look to take four. It'll be a more complete story when we see what some of these guys develop into this year, but at the moment there appears to be a need/have potential openings at 1, 2, 4 and 5. A lot of these recruits overlap multiple positions, as the sport transitions..... I think the true wing is of less importance for Indiana unless you find yourself in a position with an elite talent or someone with potential to add to the class. Now, Indiana has a great lot in the frontcourt. These guys are pretty obvious targets. TJD (4/5), Keion Brooks (4/3), Matthew Hurt (4), Trendon Watford (3/4). I'm fairly sure Indiana gets one of these targets and, with some luck, grabs another. Indiana is right there on at least 3 of the four. I think Indiana will then focus on the 1/2. They have RP, true PG. It's yet to be determined where RP will be in his second year and what role he will be able to carry, but I can see a guy like Carton (1/2) or Beverly (1/2), Jahmius Ramsey (1/2), Tre Mann (1). I love the focus by the staff. I'm sure I'll get some more names that emerged and, of course, you have the I. Stewart, Cockburn's etc of the world but I'd put those above targets as the most "in play" as things stand. In addition, IU is still recruiting guys like Newman, Okoro, Hemmingway, and some I'm definitely missing..but does seem like these guys are more on the back burner until the others shake out
  24. Guys, I really wouldn't put any more brain power into this Tonto fellow

I like him. His game has a lot of room for growth, too.
