There was some Mizzou talk surrounding Hill after he decommitted. That kid can't catch a break with coaches. Gant is interesting. Never got the feel like we were that serious of a player but the times are different now so I'd keep an eye on that. Interesting at the very least.

JBJ is coming. Who would you rather have, RJ or Ahmed Hill? That's pretty much the question you have to ask, imo.    CCG and I used to really keep an eye out for AH on the old board. I really like him. I just can't totally justify him over RJ. If Crean reaches out to Hill, it could show who he would rather have as the RJ camp has been upfront about the backcourt getting too crowded.   Take that second bit as speculation...I will say this, it was pretty widely known that RJ's dad had some concerns when we started re-re-re(?)recruiting Lyle.

I think what CCG pointed out has some importance to it. We talk a lot about the competition level of the recruits we're after. Meeks is a guy who has shown he has a lot of skill on the offensive end and can be very effective at the High Major level. Ja'keem is a guy who played against Meeks in practice everyday.    I've never seen the kid play or anything like that so i cannot speak to his defensive abilities, but by the "level of competition" logic, which I believe holds weight, it could be important for us if he were to make it to Bloomington.

I don't know much about the hot commodity bit that Goodman alluded to but I can tell you Buzz Williams has been poking around since his move weeks ago. No clue about Maryland other than it makes sense.

He still has not been released. I think he has a few more weeks on that, can't remember. He'll sit a year anyways so not sure it matters regarding '14, but watch out for UM there.
