(2016) PG Kyle Guy to Virginia
I hadn't heard that, but from the bits and pieces I've heard I just don't see it as a realistic option for him moving forward. I believe IU is still recruiting hard ,but Kyle doesn't really like Crean much. Last I heard he likes Purdue 100x better than IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Definitely not good to hear. I think him and Leaf have become pretty good friends. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2015) SF Chris Clarke to VT
Hearing from us Occasionally! Maybe this is why CTC can't land anyone lately. Kid is also saying it would feel like home. Why don't he make him a higher priority? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
Clarke seems pretty obvious to me given his rise this past spring/summer and the connections with his AAU program. There has to be a story here, I just don't know it. I know his shot is not there at the moment. I don't know if that has anything to do with this but thats about all I can come up with given the change in offensive philosophy Crean's been talking about Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2016) PG Kyle Guy to Virginia

Not trying to question your source here because I heard there was a problem in this recruitment, as well. I'm hearing about this all after the fact so it may not be as accurate as your info, but things have been cleared up with the family from what I know. Are you hearing different?

(2015) PF Juwan Morgan to IU

I don't mean to continue to derail this thread, so I'll keep my opinion here short. It's hard to commit to a program where the coach is on shaky ground. Think about it from the recruits point of view. If Crean wins this year, even the 2015 class could be impressive with spring signees. We may not know them even now. Recruiting is so fluid, and at the moment our momentum is not there. It really starts on the court. That, to me, is what was so impressive about Crean's recruiting wins in the early years. Obviously, a few ideal in-state classes coinciding with the "bringing the program back"  pitch helped.    If I had to guess I'd give IU the lean here on Morgan. Morgan helps with Milton, but it's far from a lock for Milton. No idea how Missouri is doing here but they are going to be hot with the new coaching staff.

Also, Washington offered another Canadian today. 6-10 Matthew Neufeld, possible 2014 guy who has quite a bit of skill, imo.

(2015) PF Juwan Morgan to IU

Evan Daniels @EvanDaniels  ·  8h Washington has been loading up recently. Three four-star commitments in 2015. Just added a guy that will likely fall in the top 30 range.   Getting loaded for Washington in 2015. Jermaine Haley , a 6-7 PG, committed today. They have Marquese Chriss, a 6-6 PF, committed who could be a problem for Morgan but I can see selling it another way if I were Washington. Sorry for the middle of the road posts, just pretty unsure here.
  8. Evan Daniels ‏@EvanDaniels  40m Donovan Mitchell will visit Villanova on August 4th & likely Louisville on August 8th. I expect him to see Indiana & Florida State soon too.   It's hard not to get excited about this guy. He really stood out when I saw him the first eval period and seems to have taken his game to another level since. Committed to basketball after breaking his wrist in baseball last July and missing out on the rankings. Providence was smart about him and, take away the IU fan in me, it'd be great if he went there. I don't have enough info to honestly say if UL or Providence leads, but it seems they're the top two. It would be important to get that visit mentioned above.
  9. Malik Williams is definitely one to keep an eye on. What is he, like 6-10 at this point?   This whole class is just shaping up so well in Indiana. While I think IU had it's faults with the '14 class, those guys were kind of a strange bunch themselves. You have to think IU will get something out of this class.
  10.
Good size. Great energy/endurance Respects the defensive end. Good timing on blocks. Decent FT stroke for size (limited sample) Team player-no moping when he didn't get ball. Lacks full explosiveness. Needs to go up stronger around rim. Can't judge shooting. Average to slightly above average mobility for his size. Not really fluid in his motions yet.
Thank yooouu for the insight. Haven't seen him much at all. 11. What are your thoughts on him, Wayne outside of what you said above?
  12. IU is on Koch Bar. Not sure how serious and, imo, rightfully so, but they are monitoring his progress. No worries.

  14. Cline is going to hurt us. his mobility may be the only question, but he can sure shoot it

Evan Daniels @EvanDaniels Kyle Guy has 16 points in first half of Super 64 semis. High-level shooter that competes. Deng Adel has 11. Big, versatile wing.     Guy is having a great July

Yeah, I agree. It's hard to bet against UL, they're as hot as anyone right now and that includes UK, imo. DM may be taken out of the mix barring a few other of their targets committing. Aug-November we'll see the dominoes start to fall. IU needs to get him on campus. IU does a great job on visits, they really do.
  21.   Sent from my place of advanced, analytical thinking: the toilet.       A couple things here. I'm not totally sure Blackwell has a draw to home but rather connections to a few schools close to home. The interest in younger prospects is always going to start in a close proximity.   As for the connections, Blackwell's good friends and teammates with a prospect, Braxton Bonds. Bonds is a 2014 PG who committed to Liberty but, recently, decided to walk-on to Tennessee. Things changed after that. As for Vanderbilt being up there, his coach Drew Maddux played  for Vanderbilt. Blackwell also has some family connections to UNC.    I think the Tennessee talk has some legs here.

I don't know. It's certainly not the full-court press. When I said IU isn't there that wasn't meant to interpret that simple tweet lol. I did confirm with someone at the event that IU isn't there. I'd to be there for both, maybe Dozier even more. He grew up a random IU fan, fwiw. The program has some allure to him that I feel like the staff could work with but what do I know
