Our five "big" non conference games

Alex Bozich ‏@insidethehall  36m Indiana will host UNC-Greensboro on Nov. 28. #iubb via @deruark.   This may not belong in here because it isn't one of the biggest five but i didn't know where else to put it. Move it if possible

Peter Jurkin to East Tennessee State

Jake Query ‏@jakequery  23m Peter Jurkin has transferred to a school in Johnson City. No words.     LOL couldn't help myself. Best of luck as everyone has pointed out.
4. IU and Ole Miss picked up a CB pick here yesterday
5. BTP Recruiting @BTPRecruiting #MSU #Spartans make offer to 4-Star 2015 SG Matt McQuaid and Top-40 2016 PG Payton Pritchard will take visit to East Lansing this week.
6. I avoid every TJ Leaf conversation I can if you can see
7. I don't think that has anything to do with it. I've heard Evan really enjoyed his year at IU despite the season and...well, i'll leave it there. Man, if he can fix that jump shot. I can just see Eron "doing his own thing", or maybe thats just the vibe I get. Let me be clear, I'd love to have him at IU.

(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU

I'm not sure what your last statement means. Either explain it below, PM me, or neither lol but I just didn't get it unless you're saying Crean has a year and then his staff is gone...
9. Alex Kline ‏@TheRecruitScoop  37m Tennessee offered 2015 Gonzaga (DC) PG Bryant Crawford.   Cannot see that happening but fwiw
10. Zach Gunn is who you are thinking of....he may be up to 6-7 now. Gordon looked pretty good last night, right?
11. It's like we talk behind the scenes or something

(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU

I think that's a bit tough on Chuck. He isn't directly tied to a fake prep school that has 12 students who are all on the basketball team. He has gotten IU in the mix with a few prospects but July is not the time for decision making (commits) if that is what you're judging his performance thus far on.
13. Mike Pegram ‏@peegs  6m Unofficial visit still ongoing for Malik Williams but his AAU coach Juan Gorman of @LEGITBASKETBALL does confirm his new #iubb offer
14. The '17 class is loaded in Indiana and this kid, imo, could be the headline of it when it's all said and done. I have heard he is big on IU so it's tough to think IU doesn't lead at this point. I would love for CCG (or whoever) to be able to report an offer later today but that's just my opinion. I know people on here get upset about the early offers and all and I KNOW there is something to that, but I do think MW is deserving of an offer.

(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU
If anyone has any insight on how the visit went today, i'd appreciate it
I haven't heard, and I know I continue to say this, but IU does well on their visits...I'd be shocked if it didn't go well. I haven't read through this thread but did see a bit of confusion as to "why taking this guy" or maybe it was just "why offer." IU has scouted him several times this July it was just typically masked in the Nick Marshall scouting as they play on the same AAU team. I have no insight as to whether taking OG helps w NM but it could. The staff could just really like OG as well. I cannot comment as I haven't even seen a highlight film let alone a full game. It may be worth noting for both cases that IU has ties to Team Thad from prior recruitments.

(2016) C Thon Maker

This makes sense. UCLA has been making a push to get into his top 4 and may have but he is out that way for Adidas Nation so it's sorta hard to judge if this was a convenience visit or a serious interest visit. Maybe somewhere in the middle. Anyways, he has seen Kansas but is looking to see UK and IU now that the UCLA visit is out of the way. I do think those are the only schools on the immediate radar at the moment.

Adidas Nations on ESPNU @ 7pm ET Aug. 4th

Pritchard is the only one I haven't seen so I'll definitely be tuning in for that. His stock seems to really be on the rise but I believe he just set some visits and IU wasn't one. If we don't have that updated in his thread i'll get on that.     EDIT: Can't find it, but swear it's out there somewhere. Looking to visit MSU I believe. He has made a lot of these visits, including IU

(2015) SG Terance Mann to FSU
I like Shake, Coleman, and Mitchell better.
Mitchell is off the board. I saw one game of Mann on stream and he absolutely took over. He was an obvious problem bc he was playing the pg spot. Again, it was one game at Peach Jam, but I remember being shocked his recruitment wasn't a lot hotter just based on his size and skill set. Maybe further evaluation would change that opinion but as of today, it's good to see IU involved here, imo. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2015) SG Shake Milton to SMU

Shake would be a great get. The way he controls the game is very impressive. He had one game where he did turn the ball over quite a bit in a game that got pretty sloppy overall, but I did get the sense that it wasn't typical after watching Mokan in two other games. He is well coached. His driving game is very impressive and he uses his size and body control to ward off defenders and finishes with touch. From watching his games this July, he is actually very hard to block, contrary to the post above. Statistics support this as he gets fouled quite a bit. It isn't textbook, and maybe that causes a stir, but it's effective. His size at 6-5 makes him a walking mismatch for most teams. He can defend the 1-3 but needs to commit himself here, imo. He has the tools to be a great defender.    Having said all that, I'm not as confident about our chances with him. I've said before that IU does a great job on their visits and having him along with his friend and teammate will be an added bonus. Morgan I feel more confident about, and getting him helps with Shake but doesn't make it a sure thing the way getting Shake helps with Morgan. I just have heard Milton may want to stay home.I have no insight into the Illinois position but if I'm rooting against one team in this recruitment it's them.    Morgan/Shake would go a long way towards helping our recruiting momentum heading into the fall/spring. IU still has to win games to get it back though.

25. "I will be trimming my list before the weekend,” he told SNY.tv by phone, adding the he isn’t sure how many schools he will cut his list to."   "Mitchell will also take officials to Indiana and Florida State in August, leaving him two more. He remains undecided on those at the moment."   ZAGSBLOG
