(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU

Are they? I haven't really been following it...Ruling Monday? Quick summary?

    UNC: Wainstein Report

Pinson is far more advanced on the defensive end. I love that about him.    I took that tweet I posted to mean potential recruits, not commits but not really sure. Pinson seems to be loving UNC, obviously that could change if sanctions come, but I'm not really one to root for kids to transfer. I'm not saying anyone is but I'll enjoy watching Pinson at UNC...solid prospect for sure.

    JaQuan Lyle off the board

Also, i'm very hesitant to predict much in a Lyle situation. His history suggests unpredictability. I'm rooting for him wherever he ends up, but i'm not betting on him.

Makes sense. I explained all that I've heard which isn't much - mutual interest, 100% cleared, planning on next season basketball-wise, one other school involved.   I learned on here about the HH stuff being more serious. I still have nothing that I've heard or you've heard to make me feel Lyle will be on an academic scholarship other than a report from Zags before the season about Kasango and Holt which I am not putting any stock into. We'll see how it goes.

You believe his sources on this, I do not. It didn't come from IU - they would have been breaking NCAA regulations by commenting on an ongoing recruitment. At the very best it could have came from an intermediate source with some connection to the program but they do not typically run to reporters with things and that's a pretty shotty source when it is done anonymously.   Reporters, when it comes to recruiting, access their information from only a few wells on most every occassion; their peers (other reporters), the recruit themselves, the recruits family/guardian/influencial adult, and the recruits coaches.  As you can imagine, those sources typically have an agenda and that is what becomes public.   I'm certainly not trying to discourage you from your reporting. I am saying I would be careful about putting a ton of stock into that Kasango report to begin with yet alone applying it to a completely different situation. If you feel it supports what you're hearing in Evansville then that is your choice. I'm offering another prospective/opinion to the matter based on the background I've gathered.   What did you say you were hearing out of Evansville by the way? I'm certainly not discounting what you're hearing simply because it isn't what I am.

    Conclusions from HH

I wasn't there but have heard this exact exchange come up multiple times. Crean is a different dude, no doubt about that.

WAY too early 2016 wish list inspired by HH

Point Guard U @UofAPointGuardU Arizona and Florida the teams to beat for TJ Leaf. Decision not that far of
  10.   '16 is a ways off and a ton can change but Chuck is really doing his thing here, as you know. IU was solid coming into this visit but haven't heard any feedback on it outside of the posted above. I'd say it's Chucks job to combat a draw to home here.
  11. Still has the shot development to go but Stephenson is the popular comparison for sure..Think he could end up a top 15 guy

Idk if the Bryant sick thing was true or not...but I would give him the benefit of the doubt. He didn't really have much reason to let the press be informed he was going to Bloomington again if he didn't intend to. Bryant had a placement test that the group planned to leave after his completion of. It could have been a series of things, but the timing was going to be tough anyways

Tough one. This situation is so fluid but some talk about a spring enrollment with significant financial aid - join the team 2015-2016. Most people are guessing at this point.

I wouldn't put a ton into Zags report, Rebel. I'm not sure why you think that information came from within the program, but it came from Bender. Trust me when I say Zags did not come off well amongst his peers for his handling of the entire Kasango ordeal.   IU will not add another scholarship player though Lyle is 100% cleared to play college basketball this season.   We can explore the possibilities if you'd like, but they are just that...possibilities. This could go several ways from here - but Lyle gaining an athletic grant for this season is not one of the possibilities unless you're looking for a "Luke Fischer" type transfer.

    Hoosier Hysteria---Recruit Guest List

Just a note - No one seems to talk much about De'ron Davis, but he seems to still be among IU's top 2-3 targets in 2016. He had a mandatory SAT prep class that is keeping him from HH.
