Of course it's not fair. Way to use the most prolific freshman scorer in Big Ten history to make an objective point. I'll take 75% as good and a 15 point average.

YOU were using the inflated % brought on by Yogi and Noah, to say THE TEAM shot about the same as Nick Z. When every single other player shot worse. So his paltry 35% would RAISE the team average.   Get that? He shot worse than the team average, but replace Hollowell, Etherington and Gordon with his Paltry % and the team average GOES UP.

I love 'em, but it doesn't take a rocket surgeon to see that Hulls, Watford, Oladipo and Sheehey would not have gotten off to as good of freshman starts as "typical" freshman of their talent levels who were playing on "typical" indiana teams. Our dearth of talent certainly contributed to the scoring output of those guys and maybe that's why with 4 1000 point scorers, we didn't fare any better.   You don't get to count what happened after the season was over, you've got to count what was expected before the season started.   We beat 3 top 5 teams. That's a hell of an effort for any team.

Looks like they got 18 points and 20 rebounds from the 9 guys who were 6'5" or taller. I'd say we'll far surpass that with our 8 (counting walk-ons)

I think it might have been the first time beating them both in the same season. And it seems like 35 and 40 years respectively since beating each or some extreme length of time like that.
