(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
LockdownD replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I would rather be a big 2A school than a small 3A. -
Just can't keep a good man down. Get well, Vic.

It would be a mistake to not show interest and start building a relationship with Luke. -

Checked in with my son that works in Illinois to see how his co-workers were feeling this morning. His text was, "They have drank the orange koolaide." -

Just thought I'd mention that BTN says it will reair the IU vs Michigan State game at 12:30 and 4 today. I'm going to enjoy watching today without the stress.
-
That's what it's going to take for this team to win games.
-
Thanks for the link. I'll definitely check it out.

Wieskamp looks really good for Iowa. Impressive freshman.

If our jerseys have "Garrett " on the back, I'd be very happy. Seems to me that this is an opportunity to give credit where credit is due. Indiana University's Bill Garrett was the Jackie Robinson of Big Ten basketball.

I'm very interested in this young man. Irreguardless of the school's size or strength of schedule, LB is consistently putting up good numbers. Moreover, his team is winning. I would hope that Indiana basketball has at least shown some interest and started a "building a relationship " process with Luke. If he should continue to do well in the tournament and this summer's AAU, he could be one of those guys that we read about as blowing up. Might be wise to get your foot in the door, Arch. -
Yep. Deplorable as MSU was its important to remember Purdue's hack'em cause they can't call'em all defense broke Scotty May's arm. That cost us a national championship. Yes, I hold a grudge.

Penn brought her A game tonight. She had 28 points with 6-7 3's and 4-4 FT. Hope she saved some of that outside shooting for Sunday against Maryland -

Anderson gets a chance and plays scared. -
Wow, clutch baseline shot.

I was so relieved to see the time go off the game clock. Following the game on game stats was making me anxious! Glad we got the road win.

Badgers are having a less than stellar year. That said, they are seven and one at home. Take care of the ball today and the Hoosiers will come home with a win.
-
I watched the game and came away disappointed in the effort of the team. This team must do a better job of taking care of the ball. We had 19 turnovers to their 15, but they scored 24 points off our turnovers! That's beating yourself.

Kinda what I thought.

(2018) SG Austin Boucher

"I should have committed and signed with Indiana," Palombizio said. "I made a mistake. Indiana won the (1981) national championship and they wanted to redshirt me. I was Mr. Basketball and didn't want to redshirt. I wanted to play right away." I found this little nugget on"Where are they now" . Apparently, he had verbally committed to IU, but red shirting wasn't appealing. He signed with Purdue, but that didn't work out so Ball State was his final destination. -

Noticed there was a Ky Palombizio on the roster. Apparently he's a nephew of Dan Palombizio. For you youngsters, he was a Indiana Mr Basketball. Thanks for sharing Hardwood. I didn't know this place existed. -
My husband is reading the Goodwin book. He loves this book and is always citing situations that these leaders faced and how relevant it is today. I'm looking forward to reading the book, but I plodding along in Grant by Ron Chernow.

Well deserved.

It's time the women's team got some recognition and break into the rankings. But I won't be surprised if it doesn't happen. I believe they travel to Ohio State Thursday which would give them another opportunity to show what they can do. Just keep winning.

There is a promotional for Sunday's game. They call it "Head to the Hall" and admission to the game is $1. We went to tonight's game and enjoyed quarters 2,3,and 4. First quarter was rough. The passing mistakes drove me crazy. Patberg finally got us going.
