Spending time with my granddaughters today. Best way to celebrate the holiday is to make some memories with my little Firecracker. Happy 4th of July Hoosier Nation.

I'm hoping that JBjr won't be added to that display case next year. Would it be asking too much to get a couple of seasons out of him before he goes pro?

I've been so please with the quality players that are committing. I'm so ready for this season to begin. August 30th is marked in red on my calendar.

I caught the introduction of Coach Martin on ITH and came away impressed. Sounds like Coach Martin is bringing a plethera of skills to Bloomington. I was intrigued with the discussion of player development.

Thanks for the article CC. This is a kid that I am very interested in as he develops his game. I really like how he applies his wrestling techniques to tackling. Smart. Seems very goal oriented and academics are high priority. Although he mentions Northwestern as a favorite, I would hope he can get down to Bloomington to check out what the in-state school has to offer.

I was thinking the same thing. His footwork in and around the basket is slow and borderline awkward. When I watch someone running drills, I like to see them run at game speed. I would have liked to see him in some game video to see him defend. He did have a nice perimeter shot,but I think we would need a player like him camped down low and battle. Not to write him off, but I need to see more to get enthused about his recruitment.

I'm a little tech challenged, so I hope I did this right. Seeing 53 points scored by McGinnis brought back some great memories of a remarkably talented basketball player. It seems as though a Kentucky all-star called George overrated. Seems he took offense to the remark and scored 53 points and pulled down 31 rebounds in the all-star game. With Father's Day coming up tomorrow, I find the article poinient that it was the last game his dad got to see him play. I was a freshmen at IU and got to see him and Steve Downing play in the old field house. He was amazing.

Really enjoyed the interview. I like his maturity and his confidence. He knows he can be the scoring threat that we desperately needed. I'm going to love watching him play. Personally, I don't care if JBjr is one and done or not. I'm very happy he's a Hoosier. My message to JBjr is the same that I gave to Noah. Stay as long as you like.

I'm glad I got to watch the Indiana teams that had multiple "Mr. Basketball" players on the court. Back in the day, Indiana could showcase the best in-state talent. That day has come and gone. National recruitment is the best strategy. Get on board or get left behind.

Great win today. I was wondering what happened to Hartong. The radio implied he left with an injury. The last thing we need now is to lose another player.

It was Uwe. If it's the game I think it is, we were playing Iowa and Tom Davis had them play a lot of full court pressing, in your shirt defense. Uwe was going to run out of time in bounding the ball so he bounced it off Brad Lohaus' face. Don't know who was more surprised Lohaus or AH fans.

I'm no Illini fan, but I thought they would make it into the tourney especially after Indiana State stubbed their toe in their tournament. They had 30 plus wins and some of those were over seeded teams who are in this year's field. Youngstown St must have turned it on in their tournament. Looks like they have 16 wins for the season.
