Agee with you, Josh. I would also include "player development" in that checklist.

Best Pure Shooter/Best Scorer In IU BBall History
LockdownD replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
In my opinion the best pure shooter has got to go to Alford. I love Calbert. He was a left-handed scoring weapon. But Alford would come off those screens, catch and shoot those textbook jumpers. He was money if he got an opening. My pick for best Hoosier scorer would be George McGinnis. Although, he only played one year at IU before going to the ABA, he completed his season with a 30 PPG average. He was amazing. -
Because Derek Elston spent far too much time on the bench due to injuries, he showed a lot of enthusiasm from said bench. At least give Derek honorable mention.

Most Underrated IU BBall Player All Time
LockdownD replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My first thought was to go with Jimmy Thomas. I agree with Woody with his critique on Jimmy: big, physical guard that would often lead the team in rebounding. But I think I'll put Matt Nover's name in the underrated group. He was undersized to play center, but Knight praised Nover for his workhorse mentality. He didn't back down. No quit. -

Best IU BBall Coaching Moments/Memories
LockdownD replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I was at that game. As I recall, after Knight gave Joe B. the love tap, the Kentucky assistant coach decided he go after Knight. They had to be pulled apart in front of the scores bench. I loved it! -
Most Costly IU Injuries of All Time
LockdownD replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Scotty May's broken arm cost us a national championship. That one hurt. But when Landon Turner's basketball career was cut short after he helped us win a national championship, his injury was devastating. He would have come back for his senior season and the NBA after that. -

Assembly Hall = 34th best college stadium? SAY WHAT?!?
LockdownD replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
"The Assembly Hall is what college basketball SHOULD be about. On campus, largest student section in the country, knowledgeable fan base, not sponsored by a local food company/department store, and full of history." Buck, you nailed it. -

Man, that was an ugly jump ball. Priller gives me flashbacks of watching those middle school boys who grew quickly and aren't used to their bodies. -

Hmmmmmmmm. Is the door going to be left open for his return? I was hoping this would be a quick return home, take care of business, and return back to the fold. I don't like where this is headed.
