Took a look at our schedule and we play Michigan once at home and Illinois once away. So, I would rather see Michigan win this contest. I like our chances of beating Michigan at home a little better than getting Illinois at their place.

Big win for Iowa in that it was at OSU. Winning on the road will be huge!

The second season starts Wednesday at Nebraska. It would be great to start out with a road win. I really like this team. Really fun group to watch and support. They're capable of doing some damage in the B1G and that will get us in the post season. We are what we are, so we need to play to our strengths and find those open shooters.

LJ got away with a foul on that one.

Noticed your seats for that MSU game are a few rows in front of my seats. This could be a very meaningful game! Great view of the championship banners from there. Enjoy the AH experience

For me, I'm rooting for any team playing Kentucky. The thought of this NBA farm team going undefeated this season is disturbing. Records will be broken. But if another college team dethrones the 1975-76 Hoosiers, please don't let it be them.

Gregg Doyel Talks with Joani Crean...
LockdownD replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Absolutely tasteless. Thought Joni handled the situation admirably. -
Laz, I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's condition. I'll be sending up a prayer on her behalf. Be strong and stay faithful.

I've been of the opinion that Quinn may have been recruited as a dual athlete. He was the Chicago area top athlete in both basketball and football when he was a senior. I can see where not having to choose one sport over the other could help a kid make a commitment. Something else that stood out was his participation on teams that just didn't lose. He had always been a winner and that attitude continued throughout his college and professional career. Back to Latham. He's a space eater and if he can use his size and strength down low, I ready to give him a try. I would only hope he could bring some mean and nasty attitude with that size.

I realize this is going back, but Quinn Buckner played 2 seasons of football. I think he played Safety. I believe he found it difficult to do both and decided to go with basketball. Good choice.

Thanks for the updates. It's great to see the team get off to such a good start to the season. Seems that they are transitioning into Coach Moren's system easily. I'm hoping to get to the November 30th game when ISU comes to AH.

Coach Cal doesn't know his daughters Birthday...
LockdownD replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Bet Megan gets a $pecial birthday gift from Dad for that blunder. -
Remember when Kenny Johnson called him the "Sloppy Janitor." Dropping buckets or Jimbombs. By any name, he's got a sweet shot.

Turnover!

I will admit I was looking forward to seeing Holt in action last night, but when I think about it I realize the timing was not right. I got the impression from an interview he gave that this young man is feeling a buden of guilt with regard to the accident. I feel terrible for this kid. I trust in the Coach's evaluation of this skills and potential. I'm hoping that he will be able to give us meaningful minutes when we get into conference play. Right now I think his mindset is fragile and I think it is very important that he experience success in helping the team when he does get to play. What I don't want is for Emmitt to have a playing experience that makes him question his decision about coming to IU vs going to the prep school.

Congratulations Juwan. Welcome to our Hoosier family. Big things are expected of you but you've got the support of Hoosier Nation. Have a great senior season and we'll see you in Bloomington after graduation.

Aggravated as I was with Jeremy, I do think it was in everyone's best interest for him to relocate. That said I wish him success at his new school (as long as it is not against us).

IU vs. Texas Southern Official Game Thread
LockdownD replied to FortWayneHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Got to agree with you, Rebel. Hartman just might be this team's super sub. When he comes into the game, he seems to have assessed what we need and busts his chops to deliver. He has shown he'll knock down the open shot, he'll BLOCKOUT and/or crash the boards, and he is disruptive on the defensive end of the floor with deflections, steals, and blocked some shots. Bottom line is he just brings in an attitude of willingness to do whatever it takes. Hoosier mentality! -

I'm really looking forward to this game. I always enjoy seeing former players come back and I hope they will make the trip. -
Stay classy Bloomington. I will be in The Hall Monday evening and I will give Coach Davis a cordial applause of welcome. Then, I plan to enjoy the beat down the Hoosiers are going put on him.

Stan and Troy suspended for failed drug tests..
LockdownD replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Didn't see Troy, Stan, or Emmitt. It did look like a recruit with his family behind the bench. I assumed it was Lamar Stevens. -
Congrats ladies and congratulations to Coach Moren. Impressive first win.

Nice article, Naples. Thanks for sharing. Really helps introduce this young man to Hoosier nation. Looking forward to seeing him on the court with JBjr and RoJo. Let's hope Blackmon stays another year to perfect that "chemistry" that Juwan has with JB and RJ.

There used to be a fan in a gorilla suit in the student section. I'll bet that suit was hot. Always wondered how that big monkey got to be in the first row at the home games.

We've got a good rebounding guard in Robert Johnson. He had ten last night. I believe Troy was the second leading rebounder last year so I would expect some contributions from him when he works himself back onto the court.
