Interesting projections. This next week's games are important with regard to standings and seeding the B1G tourney. I was wondering how the 14 team field would be drawn up and I hope your projected standings hold true. IMO, IU needs to show success in a tournament setting, so we need to survive and advance in our conference tournament. Showing this would impact our seeding in the NCAA tourney. (Yes, I'm feeling confident about being in the field provided we don't have an "end of the season collapse".) That said, I want to see us in the most advantageous position and that would be finishing #4 or better to get us playing our first game on Friday. Playing 3 straight days is better than expecting this team to win 5 straight. JMO.

VO, is always representing. Would be great if he wins the dunk contest. Good luck, Vic!

Really hope Devin can recover from this traumatic injury. He can contribute to the team by his example with his work ethic.

Perfect. This team seems to embrace the underdog role. Go get'em boys. -

Hanner better get his act together. He missed a really great game tonight. His teammates were loving it. -

Just got home from the game and I was wondering where was Hanner. No one around me knew anything about him not being on the bench. Thought for sure Btown would have the scoop. Sick? -
So is there an update on Hartman...

It's that "addition by subtraction" thing. It effected the program in a positve way. -
Geometry, I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin's health crisis. I will include him and his family in my prayers. Stay faithful.

Survive and advance. That works.

Good grief! Danny drives everyone nuts, but a police office should know when to keep it to himself. Well, I planned to watch the Iowa vs Wisconsin game tonight anyway. How does DD handle this? I can't believe he leaves it alone.

Exactly what I thought. I was thinking about the kids that primarily play JV but get some minutes in the varsity games. These kids would likely split practice time and 10 practices accumulate irregardless. Wouldn't they? I can't believe he never practiced with the varsity players. If I'm the coach, I would want a player of his caliber working out with my best players. The challenge of completion is a wonderful motivator. -
Well darn. We lead the whole game but fail to close out.. Turnovers will bite you every time.

Great pic, Hova. Hope he brings back some of that magic.

Thinking out loud about our big man situation....

Really enjoyed you boys talking about the old gymnasiums and the memories that they evoke. I'm a basketball junky that grew up knowing that on Friday night everyone in the community would be attending the local high school basketball game. It was a social event with a visiting community that showcased community pride in their basketball team. Bragging rights meant something! Our sectional site was at Martinsville at the old Glenn Curtis Gymnasium. The participating schools would rotate seating around the floor each year. Seats were numbered and if you weren't careful, you'd buy a ticket behind one of the several posts that were in the fan seating. If you really enjoy knowing more about Indiana's gyms, I highly recommend "Hoosier Temples: A Pictorial History of Indiana's High School Basketball Gyms" by Donald E. Hamilton. Love this book. It helps explain the fascination Hoosiers have with these gyms and what role they played in their communities. -
Well darn, some days those shots just don't want to fall. Better tighten up the defensive end of the floor or that hole their digging will be too deep.

UAB RB Jordan Howard to IU

Just wondering if JH will be enrolling 2nd semester or wait until next fall. How does this affect eligibility with regard to spring practice? Just curious. Welcome to our Hoosier family, Jordan. -
Personally, I felt that Crean's quick handshake was the best way to handle the situation. Miles wanting to revisit the disagreement was not going to be in anyone's best interest. Agree to disagree, Timmy. Move on.

I'm really proud of the effort Hanner brought to the game tonight. I was glad to see his 12 points, but I'm more pleased with the 10 rebounds. He showed glimpses of the physicality down low that this team desperately needs. Hope he keeps improving.

Great win. Big lead. Lose the lead and manage to come back on the road. Oh my, Hanner. Happy New Year, Hoosiers.

Hustle play by Hartman.
