(2019) PF Trayce Jackson-Davis to INDIANA
LockdownD replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Visiting MSU will make TJD's commitment to Indiana even sweeter. Done losing out to Izzo after we identify potential B1G talent. -
Thanks for sharing, Olivia. It's not often I'm in agreement with Cal, but he has some valid points that he feels would eliminate the monetary cheating.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
LockdownD replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Appreciate USPShoorsier sharing Romeo's insights. Got to admit, I really didn't get any feeling from the comments that Romeo has a significant preference. Something that did stand out was the comments about expectation should Romeo decide to stay home and play for Indiana. Maybe Coach Miller was trying to set us apart from the other programs and challenge RL that the expectation for him could be greater at Indiana since everyone in this state knows his name. Stay home, Romeo. You got this. -
ISU just got a steal.

Wow, I really thought Butter was a perfect place for him. I had the pleasure to watch him in some of his high school games. He was so smooth and had a textbook jumper. Now, does he have to sit out a year or semester? Does his eligibility start day 1 of the semester or first official day of practice? Somebody is going to get a steal.

Patrick had a cancerous tumor found on his thyroid. Glad to see he has regained his health to allow him to play for his Dad. -
(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
LockdownD replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I agree with you about turning down prep school in order to stay home and allow his parents the pleasure of watching him play his senior season. But I think it's even more than the parental influence. I don't think he wanted to bail on his teammates, his school, and his community. It's a big deal for a community to produce a Mr. Basketball. It's a really big deal to make a run for a state championship. So when Romeo decided to finish his high school career in New Albany, he showed his team, school, and community that he values his being a New Albany Bulldog. (Yes, I really want this kid.) -

Parking lots around the IU Athletics campus are sold out. Please park at the shuttle lot located at 45/46 & North Curry Pike. This was in a notice sent out today. Apparently, there will be shuttle service to the stadium. Glad I've got a parking pass. -

I know I watched Romeo play Wilkes last year at Southport. Must have been FSIndiana. -
What a great lineup of games! I remember watching Romeo vs Wilkes last year, but I'm not sure who carried it. My guess is Fox Sport Indiana. Sure hope they pick this up.

(2019) SF Trendon Watford to LSU
LockdownD replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Trendon knows that football is king in Alabama. He has witnessed how Indiana shows reverence to basketball. Always has and always will. I'm hoping he will want to play at a basketball school. -
Just lifted your brother up in prayer.

(2018) SF Musa Jallow to Ohio State
LockdownD replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I'm really hoping to get Jallow to stay in Bloomington. Just the thought of watching him at Purdue for 3or 4 years is disturbing. -
I'm praying for God to give you strength during this trying time.

Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers
LockdownD replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I thought I read that the program that allows athletes to continue their work toward their degree involves making and staying on an academic plan. Im assuming that the student and university agree on an academic plan to continue to work toward their degree not just quit for a while. I think it's a good program to have at IU for many reasons. Student-athletes may leave for professional, family, or health reasons and Indiana has a program in place to assist the student to fulfill a valuable life goal that being a degree from Indiana University. -
Player and Recruit Retention News/Discussion & Potential Transfers
LockdownD replied to Brass Cannon's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I got the feeling that RJ was so frustrated with his role on the team that I would have been shocked to see him return. I remember seeing a picture of him coming out of a game to the sideline and having Coach Crean talk to him assuming about his play. Robert couldn't/wouldn't look at the man. He was over it. Since a coaching change has come about, I could see Robert coming back after his NBA evaluation and being an impactful player under CAM. Robert is a "no bs" kind of guy and I think he and CAM have a lot in common.
