(2017) SF Jarred Vanderbilt off the board
Stuhoo replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
The #9 composite ranked recruit in the class? I can't imagine that given we're getting in the hunt a little late we are a real player here. -
No way. Really?!? No way!!!
-
Them's some really strong numbers. Really strong.

^^I'd trim that list down just a bit^^

(2017) SF Jordan Tucker- OV 11/30/16
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Plays on the same AAU team as Devonte Green. Nice! -
I just listened to the podcast interview of his junior college coach. The athleticism that the coach described is a given, but the thing that impressed me the most which was not a given is that Freddie is a gym rat who has improved exponentially since he started playing the game of basketball. The coach described an extremely gracious and humble kid who is loved by teachers, classmates, and opponents, but that when Freddie gets between the lines of the basketball court the switch flips and he plays with incredible passion. Finally, he said that Freddie was way under the radar because he lived in small-town Georgia where the only game in town was football, and so that's what Freddie played until his junior year of high school. Once he started playing basketball, he never touched the AAU circuit. The coach said that by the time he committed to Indiana Freddie had piled up 25 Division I offers.

2016 April Evaluation Period

A class of Jackson, Scruggs, Wilkes, and Durham would be incredible, and it is entirely possible, especially if this year goes well. -
You guys are way too simple-minded! Bleacher Report has obviously used this picture to illustrate the complexities of the situation: Robert Johnson is "pushing off" James Blackmon "to the right" decision. RoJo is "looking down" at the prospect that James might leave. RoJo's right foot is in the air as a tribute to James' recovering right knee. It is also a tribute to James' favorite defensive stance!! The "RWJ" pink and white sign is clearly an acronym for "Real World decision for James". The dude in the front row of the crowd with the lavender shirt, silver tie, and black shoes? That would be one Phil Jackson III, who is clearly contrasting James to Carmelo, RoJo, LeBron, and Middle School Bob. I know, I know; y'all feel a bit silly now. Apologies accepted - just pay more attention next time please.

(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Nice on-camera interview with Romeo. He grew up a Louisville fan - liked that he said that Duke is pretty far away from home. Good mention of IU/CTC. Said that Purdoo plays "big ball" and he'd have to adjust to that style (lol). http://www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1663504-adidas-1-1-no-4-romeo-langford -
Meh. In my opinion, this is no big deal. CTC pulls some strings and gets him invited, James learns a little bit, James comes back and gets to the cusp of completing a degree, winner (winner, chicken dinner) for all.

In theory? Freddie can fill his role effectively for two years, something a freshman with high expectations might not be as tuned in to doing from day one.
-
Then you may not be "all in" for quite a little while, Alaska. Freddie is raw, and he's going to be our 10th or 11th man next year. He's in line behind TB, DrD, CH, OG, and JM for frontline minutes. If he can be a completely solid citizen, turn into a practice plus this year, and develop enough to give us a little good run if injuries hit, he will be a great get this year. By next year he can hopefully be a big energy source for the '17-'18 team.

And Alford Bailey throws down the microphone.

Ya need to log in as a guest Treesh; you'll enjoy this one. Or, maybe a new handle so that you can get "re-banned!"

Just because CWat and Will are? Nah I think that Yogi is a natural for the D-League if he can't stick with an NBA roster right away; his family has the means to forego the European money for the extra NBA exposure that the D-League affords.

For your pleasure: one of the best UK forum threads ever...A poster dares to point out that ZERO UK-Calipari players are starters on NBA playoff teams this year. The UK faithful proceeds to counter the argument with "our 5 star players only go to bad teams" ", "being on the end of the bench as a second round draft pick is pretty good!', etc, etc. Enjoy!! https://kentucky.forums.rivals.com/threads/kentucky-players-in-the-playoffs-or-lack-thereof.190344/

Yogi has signed with the same player agent currently being retained by CWat and Will Sheehey.

One has nothing to do with the other. Freddie is not Hanner...AT LEAST I HOPE NOT!

Flying Freddie. Fly Freddie fly. Fast Freddie flies fearlessly. For fearless flying Freddie, flying feels fun. Freddie's flying feet float five feet; freakishly far! Fly Freddie fly ... forever. Flying Freddie.

He'll be the 10th/11th player in the rotation absent injuries. If he can fill that role with extra energy and athleticism, he'll be a good grab. Welcome to the starting lineup Mr. Oguagua Anunoby.

(2017) SG Jordan Goodwin to Saint Louis

Apparently, he just plain old wants the ball more than the other nine guys on the court! -
(2017) SF/PF Malik Williams to UofL

I think he's likely MSU bound, but ya never know. We are in on so many good ones it's okay either way.
