Anyone with an opinion on Crean is dumb and feeble-minded. Now, lock 'er up! ;)

Ooohhh!!! One more post filled with name calling and bashing and this crappy thread gets locked?!? Read carefully my friends: Tom Crean's feet stink. mdn82 is a poopyhead. Jaybob's mullet is dull and lifeless. ccgeneral's use of emoticons is beneath him. Stuhoo is perpetually annoying. Tijan Jobe has TERRIBLE form on his 3 pt. shot, and is a disservice to ligers. That oughta do it. Lock 'er up.

Great thread. To answer the scholly situation, as pap said we have three rides opening up (Will, Evan, and Fischer) and currently have three freshman incoming. I can't imagine that PJ, as nice a kid as he is, ties up as scholly for a third year if he is still incapable of seeing the court. That gives us one more to fill, likely by Josh C or Marvin C. If Noah comes back, we may be done right there. If he doesn't, we go get a big in April. There'll be 5th yrs bigs available by then, and with J Davis taking his time, he'll also be an option. If we have a gaping need for a big, it seems to me we'd be an extremely attractive option for J Davis. -
(2014) PF Marvin Clark to MSU

Quick update from Zagsblog; he liked IU and will likely decide the middle of next week. Can he play the 2, 3, and 4 for us as a freshman? Some wingy logjam if he does! http://zagsblog.com/recruiting/clark-plans-to-announce-march-12/ -

Marvin Clark is an extremely tough individual. I hope he is impressed with IU. I hope he commits to IU. -
OT: Brenton Scott Arrested While W/Alex Etherington
Stuhoo posted a topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
PU Bryson Scott's twin brother Brenton arrested for OWI while in car with a buzzed Alex Etherington. The funny part (if there could be one in an OWI situation)? Brenton tries to convince the cops that he's Bryson!! Talk about throwing your brother under the bus: "One deputy’s report says the officer smelled marijuana coming from inside the car. Police say Brenton Scott verbally identified himself as “Bryson Scott,” and provided documentation saying so. Bryson Scott, Brenton’s twin brother, plays men’s basketball at Purdue University. “’That’s Brenton, errr [sic] I mean Brenton’s brother,’” Etherington was quoted by a Vigo County Sheriff’s Department deputy when asked who the driver was. Ethering later said Brenton Scott asked Etherington to tell police Brenton Scott was Bryson Scott. A run of Brenton Scott’s driving record at the scene showed his driver’s license had been suspended for previous infractions, according to police. Brenton Scott told police that he and Etherington smoked marijuana “an hour or two” prior. Brenton Scott also admitted to having marijuana under the driver’s seat, the report says." -

It would not be "a drop in a bucket". It would be a teeny tiny drop in an ocean. -

Anyone who thinks that legalizing marijuana would "bring our nation out of debt" has probably been smoking some marijuana. -
I still regularly read other IU message boards. Each of them have regular internal discussions about whether they perceive their board to be troll-infested, overly pessimistic, or unrealistically optimistic. Not here. After enough months on this board to draw an accurate conclusion, I am happy to report that we have a troll-free, well written, multiple view-point environment. Though I guess it's possible that we don't ever attract jackasses on this board, it is far more likely that this environment has been created by some truly fine work by our moderators. Cheers! :locomotive: edit: (even Jaybob!)

On the other hand... Just think, if he had made the world's sh_ttiest decision four months ago, he'd be committed to the laughingstock trainwreck of college basketball, the University of Kentucky big blew Mildcats. Sooooo, he's got that going for him! :)

Jay Simpson, the redshirt freshman big of Purdue, fainted on the court during their game yesterday. He has had extensive asthma problems in the past, and here's hoping that a fixable asthma difficulty is the entire explanation of the problem when his test results come in. An occasional bad knee or twisted ankle is an unfortunate part of the game, but internal difficulties are far more serious than any rivalry. Hoosier Nation's thoughts and prayers are with you. Here's to a Jay Simpson clean bill of health so that we can kick his butt ON the court for the next three years.
-
Truly sad news, but thank goodness they diagnosed this in time. Heartfelt wishes to Jay Simpson for a long, healthy, successful future. With or without basketball. @GoldandBlackcom: #Purdue redshirt fr. Jay Simpsona€™s career is over due to the heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyotrophy (HCM), school says in release.

Stuhoo posted a topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Not that they'll tank this game too, but holy crap. Look at their halftime score against the worst team in the SEC! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (17) Kentucky: 28 (21-7, 11-4 SEC) South Carolina: 31 (10-18, 3-12 SEC) -
It's because I got taught good grammer. JMO. Hoosier forever. Go IU.

More wisdom Coach Crean has picked up from various IU message boards: 1) Replace Dwight Shrute haircut with a rockin' mullet! Jaybob 2) Use them new-fangled transistor radios to scout opponents. John Freed 3) When all else fails, drink heavily! KyleHornsbyRules 4) It's hopeless. We suck. IUfanCharlie 5) Trade Joani for one of my 12 ex-wives! 5fouls 6) Run Sloan-screen 45, dammit! GoColts 7) We may not always play well, but the players are...dreamy! MrsBigCodyLukeMaxPope 8) Pssst: If these players let you down, there's a three star in Schenectady that I have good video on. ccgeneral and hoosierpap

Sure seems like 'plan A' is to take the first two who might bite from Marvin Clark, Josh Cunningham, and Jackson Davis. The nice part is, it seems to be setting up so that MC and JC will be the first two to decide. -

"Jaundiced rodents" That's some funny stuff -
Seeing Doc Libby's words crystallized my mindset about our young Hoosiers: Get ready to have some fun y'all; this team is about to turn the corner. It starts this week at home against Penn State, and it keeps getting better thereafter. It won't be perfect, but it's about to be really fun. Get ready Hoosier Nation; we're closer than you think. Get ready Hoosier Nation; our three key freshmen have enough minutes under their belts. Get ready Hoosier Nation; Hanner is starting to feel more comfortable and use his athleticism Get ready Hoosier Nation: Jeremy is starting to shoot with confidence. Pull this thread or give me a virtual pummeling if it proves completely off-base, but get ready... Here come some wins.
