    UK sucks

Hey guys...just saw a reference to this thread on Rupp Rafters! Didn't know those folks could surf the interweb or read English well enough to make it here.   Sooooo...if any Kentucky fans are reading this for "comedic gold", just remember:   Victor Oladipo has more college degrees than the entirety of scholarship players that John Calipari has recruited to Kentucky and Memphis over the past eight years. (That's Vic 1, every UK/Memphis Cal scholly player combined...0)   Kentucky's Coach has had two final fours vacated...so far.   Eric Bledsoe and James Young had no business graduating high school. Sadly, those guys cannot read.    Anthony Davis took a big sack of booster cash.   Their arena is off campus and has a very low percentage of student attendance, the students have no attachment to the revolving door of players, and the fan base either doesn't realize or doesn't care that their is another, better way.   They seem to think that the hatred of UK is a compliment to their greatness, instead of a nationwide acknowledgment that they are everything that is wrong with college sports: that they have eliminated any semblance of a team with aspirations of players obtaining a college degree as student athletes.   When IU has a bad year in basketball, we are disappointed and maybe even angry, but at least we are rooting for a team that is not publicly urinating on the concept of college students rooting for their college peers. Some might be envious of a college team that succeeds, but never of a semi-pro, non-college team.   Kentucky's players have NO interest in being college basketball players.   And.... UK sucks.

  5. "Less creative" is not necessarily a bad thing. For instance: Roseanne Barr was a creative singer of the national anthem. The University of Kentucky basketball program has creative academic standards. Hannibal Lechter and Jeffrey Dahmer had creative culinary skills. Bob Knight used creative massage techniques on Neil Reed. The Ford Pinto and AMC Pacer were creative car designs. AND...Jeremy Hollowell has a more creative offensive game than Josh Cunningham. Jeremy created more turnovers, created more missed shots, and apparently had a big role in creating a team chemistry environment that was, well...offensive.

Indiana Rivals predicts us to finish 9th next season

Xcllnt post. That about covers it.   By the way:   Do we land a big or not? Yes, but not many will think it's sufficient. Do we have better chemistry? Hell yes. Sadly after the past year, I think it's a given. Do our freshman improve? They always do.

Indiana Rivals predicts us to finish 9th next season

Nebraska was predicted to finish 12th out of 12 last year. Purdont was predicted to finish about seventh.   Means less than nothing.
  8.   So in other words, Cunningham is not a royal pain in the ass like Hollowell was.
  9.       :good:  :good:     :danced:   :danced:    :dancer: :dancer:            (     )
  10.     I've got it!!   A three on three tournament with Jeremy, Austin, and Jonny vs. their two scholly and one walk-on departees!!   Who smells megabucks pay per view opportunity?
  11.   Miles has lost control of the program ;)
  12. Retweeted by Josh this week. I thought it was a pretty funny and excellent mixture of sincere, polite congratulations and rabid fandom:     tj ‏@PuckFurdue  Apr 1 @JoshMCunningham Great Season! Crean the Good Guy

Not surprising.    Informative and Fantastic? YES   but not surprising.
  14.   Ummmm...excuse me.   Currently we only have two wings on our roster.
  15.     I just checked GW's record for the past year. They had NO bad losses.   I stand corrected!   :scratchhead:
  16. That's one cool, collected, confident, hard working ballplayer.  Reminds me of...Rob Johnson   Rob Johnson's a lot like that too. Rob reminds me of...James Blackmon Jr.

What should be done eventually should be done immediately

Road:   I fully agree with your strong opinions about the OP's post.   FWIW: I believe that the EmilyPost etiquette guide for BtownBanners posting is:   It is absolutely appropriate to call a post awful, misguided, odious, whatever, but it is much less acceptable to say "You are (fill in an insult)"
  18.   I fully concur with the point you are making...I just don't believe the Pomeroy conclusion is true.
  19.   Just guessin', or going on some info Hwy?
  20.     Moreover, GW was NOT a better team than IU this past season, even though we laid a big turd at times.    We had wins over four top 20 teams, and our worst losses were Penn State, Purdue, and Northwestern. It is reasonable to argue that GW would not have been favored on a neutral court against any of the teams which constituted our three worst losses.

    UK sucks

Bo Ryan thinks UK SUCKS too!!! His quote about the respective UW/UK fanbases today   "What I like about the Wisconsin fans is they understand these are student athletes who actually are here for the purpose of an education first and playing ball second"
  22. UMM FOLKS...The program in his top five is USC: The University of South Carolina... Frank Martin's crew.   Here's a little Josh Cunningham video from the recent Illinois State Championship game:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=65yx_IA8OXE

    Big Men

Won't work.   The message boards have a thing against foreign big men.
  24.   Private school. More of a local reputation.   If you're a serious student you'll never go wrong with some of the nationally acclaimed programs (such as business, Ed, music) that IU offers.
