I believe that Smith is a 247 composite ranking of 80. That oughta settle where he is.

(2017) PG Paul Scruggs to Xavier
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
THIS DAKICH SOUNDCLOUD LINK IS REQUIRED LISTENING! I feel sorry for Scruggs and his family. I don't feel sorry for Prolific Prep "Blah bla blah" Russotti, who has now been destroyed by Dakich. -
If that was the group, I would fully expect Freddie to get considerably more run than Smith during Smith's freshman year.
-
Because he is a talented work in progress, not a freshman starter on a B1G contender.
-
Looks like it's going to be time to start monitoring the "who Marni Mooney is following" vigil.
-
Jeremy Hollowell's game with A+ academics and character would be a fantastic player to have.
-
^^This^^ For OG not to go, he would have to regress from last year. And that's. Not. Happening.

Official 2016-17 IUBB Preseason Thread

Our starting backcourt looks like ZZ freakin Top. -
Justin Smith is exactly the type of young man that we would be proud to see in a Hoosier uniform. No handlers here! Just an excellent family, an excellent student, and an excellent basketball player.

Greg Doyle nails it: "For one thing, Scruggs is transferring to a school that didn’t exist three years ago. For another, Prolific Prep isn’t a school at all. It’s a basketball team that sends its players to a Catholic school in Napa, Justin-Siena High School. Prolific Prep has a website and a Twitter page, but no physical address. You hear me? Paul Scruggs just transferred to a P.O. box." -
We will not slow-play a player as good as Smith
-
Nah. Wilkes knows he will start wherever he goes, and that we'll have enough room for J Smith and him. A class of Durham, Smith, Wilkes, Waters, and a big would be a huge home run.
-
By the end of the weekend, we may have a two player class!

That is freakin' awesome. -
You would? A player with no interest in the university other than to punch his ticket for as little time as it takes to be able to move on to the pros and re-pay handlers? Nonowaynowaynowaynoway. Here's a recent profile on his "high school": http://www.12news.com/news/local/valley/mesa-charter-school-closes-day-before-school-leaving-parents-scrambling/312737029

Not a student-athlete, and a one year rental. He's chosen the proper three finalists.
-
Run? Sure. Press? Nope...CTC teams at IU do not press. Especially with JBj at one guard spot.

Six foot nine? I want to the first of many to say: "I like Big Butz and I cannot lie"
