(2017) SF Kris Wilkes to UCLA

I'd like Mo Bamba myself, or a clone of Max Bielfeldt. Preston would be great for the on-court, but there's still a bit of a hired mercenary feel to his recruiting attitude. -

Wade: over 100, Wes Matthews: 70s, Diener: 40s, and Novak: well over 100. -

That's a cherry-picked stat. Crean has had a five star EVERY YEAR for the past five years (since Cody came). Some of those teams were better than others. Two of them won the B1G outright, three made it to the Sweet Sixteen. Before Cody, he had no five stars here, and his best team had a soph CWat (36th nationally, a soph Jordy (131th nationally), a freshman Victor and Sheehey (140s) and a junior Verdell (121 nationally). In other words, no where near the talent or experience we would have next year (senior Josh 120, CuJo 84, DeRon 40, Justin 76, junior Juwan 100 and senior RoJo 49, Clifton 137) And that's even if we added no one else...which won't be the case. -

There oughta be an "or else." Just saying.
-
Yes! Or else!!! (hey Doc, what's the "or else?")
-
I'd say that any win gets us to about #6, a close loss leaves us at 12-14, and only a very bad loss would push us down to about 18. A lot to gain, very little to lose here - good scheduling!

It is unofficially over... On the verge of complete irrelevance to Hoosier Nation. -
Groce can't coach-ey.

Ding ding ding... We have a winner-post.

Two weeks is a long time for someone that has supposedly completely already made his decision. -
"Clearly not your point" is true. However, my post is not just sarcasm. Can we win with a team of student athletes? I don't know, but that's the only way I want to try.

Hookers, cash, and blow will fix our recruiting issues?

(2017) SF Kris Wilkes to UCLA

IMO, it's all an indirect Crean-bash. The theme is... everything about IU is awesome, and yet we're still not getting the recruits we should. Not exactly a direct shot at CTC, but an indirect shot toward his ability to seal the deal. Frankly, I'm not all that bothered. We have a banner contender this year, our talent level is, and seems like it will continue to be very good, and our team is composed of actual student athletes that are a joy to root for. That, and Wilkes still hasn't committed anywhere yet. -
True.

Remember, Kris Wilkes still has not committed to UCLA or anywhere else. -

Atta boy general. My thoughts exactly. Not coming to IU? That's the day he'll officially become completely irrelevant to me. -
He was completely outstanding

I'm thinking this commitment is gonna stick. Hope the coaching staff doesn't ground him. -
(2017) PG David Beatty to South Carolina
Stuhoo replied to Uspshoosier's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Position-less basketball has arrived at IU. This year, All of our rotation players can guard at least SG through center, or PG through PF (unless JBj doesn't succeed at guarding anyone, lol). David Beatty very much fits that mode. -

Well heck. That is pretty newsworthy. Beatty is very much in the RoJo/tough as nails, good shooter mode. Excellent offer list. It also confirms what we should have deciphered from the Tremont Waters interest: IUBB wants to take five for '17, another guard and another large wing or big.
