I'm not sure I agree that he's not that good. Limited? Yes. But he's very, very good at certain things. He has learned to push hard for interior position, and when he does, it's a foul or a basket almost every time. That can be very effective against good teams with smaller or inexperienced bigs. He drove Nova nuts in the second half last night. MSU and UM don't have an answer for him either. We are lucky; TB and DD both have better bulk to deal with him that almost any other team. Nothing would make me happier than to see Ivan Drago body slam UK's freshman bigs in an NCAA tourney game.

Chris Collins regularly told Vassar he "sucked at basketball" in hopes that it would motivate the kid to transfer. He's got nothing on this guy!

Hey...maybe there's an old-fashioned rural Indiana-style high school in the Phoenix area full of four star, immediate impact bigs with names that aren't hard to pronounce! ;)

From the Tom Crean radio show: · "On the trip back, Crean said he and Chuck Martin stopped in Phoenix (the team connected through Phoenix as well) to go recruit and also had a chance to go to the Nets-Suns game to watch Yogi Ferrell’s first road win in the NBA. " So...where were they? Maybe Hillcrest, maybe Aspire? http://usatodayhss.com/2016/aspire-academy-arizona-basketball-big-players

Purdue is a good team, but kinda unique for this day in age. Positionless basketball? Not them; no way, no day. Dribble drive...drive and kick? Ummm, nope. They have very good shooters, very, very, very good low post scoring, and not one single player with the ability to break a team down off of the dribble. Not much perimeter quickness for defense, and very little in transition. Thank goodness we have two legit wide bodies to battle Haas. MSU is gonna have some trouble with him!
-
I think so too. Hope we're both wrong!

Hopefully we beat IUPFW. I know we should, but it's a road game and they'll be pretty fired up.

Haas not in foul trouble? Purdue wins. Haas in foul trouble? Nova by at least ten.

Not official yet, but it's very, very likely to be South Carolina. -

Thank goodness we have a basketball game Saturday at 7 in Bloomington; otherwise you know that Tom Crean would be at the IU/Michigan football game, and if he returned the favor that Jim Harbaugh has given, he might be on the Michigan sideline!!

A new KU pick just came in on the 247 grid. No bueno, but not a trend yet. -

Handicapping it: 40% KU 30% USC 20% IU 10% Cuse Of course, Billy Preston is already up to 100% for one of those teams. Watch for a crystal ball steep trend line soon. That oughta make it all but clear before it's official. -

Geez... Preston was watching the game with our bigs playing with the ball and dominating, and KU's bigs all but invisible. That's gotta help, right? -
Well sure; but with Wilkes next year they'll have five star pla... never mind.

Last three picks were on the 10th: One IU, Meyer with KU, and a "foggy". Opinions should start to leak out tomorrow. -

POY? Thomas Bryant? James Blackmon Jr? OG? Who is your favorite pick? Hopefully a player from our team, which beat a top five team this week, not someone who had a game against Grand National Park. Unless I misunderstood and POY stands for Pop Out Your-leg.
