    (2016) C Thon Maker

        MSB would school him.
  2.   You forgot "agent".
  3. I'm thinking that Tom Lyles played at UK and for the NBA.   That is... His band played!     Yes that right! The Tom Lyles' band played their biggest hit single, "Pimpin' My Son and Pumpin' the P_ssy" as the featured musical entertainment at the University of Kentucky Men's Basketball Big Blue Madness Family Fun Halftime Show, and also played in a few parking lots outside of a proposed NBA stadiums in Yakima, Washington, Bakersfield, California and Santo Domingo, Costa Rica.
  4.   You're being too kind.   It's not that "there is still no evidence that he played in the NBA or at UK".   He flat out lied; he without question never played at UK or in the NBA. Period.
  5.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NzgmeSeySA
  6. Also interesting that young Trey has so far been damaged goods with what may be a stress fracture.   He has yet to practice with UK, and given their front court talent and depth, will likely be buried on the bench this season.
  7. This may be the single worst, yet best thing ever.  From Tom Lyles, the man who brought you..."Pumpin' the P_ssy" comes his new smash hit... "Pimpin' my Son". Train Wreck Ahead!!!!!   Remember, Mr. Lyles Sr. is the class act who placed the following info on Trey's basketball profile:     Trey Lyles Personal Notes Father played basketball at Panola Junior College (Texas) and Kentucky, and played professionally in the NBA, CBA and Canada.

  9.   That strategy would give us a roster that would be the Purdue Boilermakers men's basketball team.  That has not worked well, unless you think that guys like Travis Carroll and Ronnie Johnson "knew basketball and knew how to compete".

(2014) PF Emmit Holt to IU

Rumor has it that Izzo is going to start going hard after Holt this week.   He heard that IU is interested in the kid.  ;)
  11. Required watching. As Charles Barkley said; basketball players shouldn't be role models. Unless, of course, they are.

(2014) PF Emmit Holt to IU

So you think that a coach that is puffing for his players went out of his way to state that the Syracuse and ND commits on his team were inferior to Holt?    Maybe he said it because Holt really was the best player on his team, including the other two high-major guys.   EDIT: It wasn't his AAU coach or the Vermont Academy coach that said this; it was the Director of the AAU program:   "“He was our most important player,” Jimmy Hart, the director of the Albany City Rocks, told Inside the Hall. “At the end of every game, if someone asked our guys who the MVP of the team was, everyone would vote for Emmitt.” That type of endorsement stands out, especially when you consider that the City Rocks feature several guys who are already committed to high-major programs like 2015 forwards Tyler Lydon (Syracuse) and Elijah Burns (Notre Dame)."

(2014) PF Emmit Holt to IU

According to his AAU coach, Holt was the best player on an AAU team that includes Syracuse and ND commits.   I like that.

(2014) PF Emmit Holt to IU

The Miami Heat are in town to learn from our coaches, the campus is filling up with beautiful girls, we've finally got players who truly seem to get along, the basketball facilities are awesome, and the team needs immediate help at the PF spot. No sh_t the visit is going well!   I assume Zagoria's post is code for "he's gonna commit today".

(2014) PF Emmit Holt to IU

My favorite line from the article (and maybe one of the best entertainment-value lines ever written in a recruiting blog!):   "On his official visit on August 18th, word on the street was that Indiana decided to have Dwyane Wade, Victor Oladipo and others in town to help impress Holt."   Can you imagine?   "Hey Dwayne, Vic, Cody, Norris, Udonis. This is Tom Crean."  "Whaa? No. Bloomington. YES, I'm still there!" "Anyway, I need all of your help. I have Emmitt Holt in for an official on Monday." "No, I'm not kidding. Yes. THE Emmitt Holt!" "Don't ask me how I made it happen. Just know that: It. Is. Happening." "I know that you all would do anything for me. Well not anything - sorry Cody, I promise I'll never ask you to babysit my cat again." "Anyway, as you might expect, I am very nervous about the Holt visit and I need you all here, as they said on nextuprecruit.com, to help impress Holt." "What's that Udonis? Yes, I can get you a picture of you with Holt." "How's that Dwayne? No. Holt is mine. You cannot use him to replace LeBron!"

Ummm...I give you...hot off the presses: One humdinger of an article on Emmitt Holt, which reads like it was written by the President of the Emmitt Holt Fan Club:    http://nextuprecruits.com/2014/08/18/emmitt-holt-is-proving-to-be-a-high-major-player-article-video/   Looks to me like Superman wears Emmitt Holt jammies!
  21.   Amen and hallelujah for that!

(2014) PF Emmit Holt to IU

Sure as heck sounds like that could have been a possibility.   By the way...VIC IS ON CAMPUS during Holt's official visit. The players can't work out with the Heat, but they sure as heck are allowed to meet them. Think it will add anything to the visit when VO, DWade, and Cody each tell Holt that CTC has been a big part of their development?   One more thing:   I've seen a lot of hand-wringing when IU is nosed out for diamonds in the rough that we find just before their recruitment takes off. See Tum Tum, Donovan Mitchell, Raymond Spaulding, Marvin Clark, and countless others.   CTC apparently thinks that Holt is one of those that if the rest of the CBB world knew about, would also be a hot ticket. Are you also going to complain when we identify him first and then seal the deal?

    The "Heat" are in town

Alex Bozich @insidethehall · 34m Says a lot for how Tom Crean is viewed amongst those in the NBA as someone who develops players.  Alex Bozich @insidethehall · 35m Among them: Cody Zeller, Victor Oladipo, Dwyane Wade, Mario Chalmers, Udonis Haslem, Norris Cole and Josh McRoberts.  Alex Bozich @insidethehall · 36m Current IU players can't participate, but per sources, a host of NBA guys will be in Bloomington over the next 72 hours working out.

All true, but that's why a team is given 13 scholarships; so that seven or eight will work out.   If 11, 12, or 13 of them turned into viable rotation players, some would transfer toot sweet.    You take a shot at kids who have a chance at becoming rotation players, and who are solid citizens who don't b!tch and whine when they're on the bench, and hope that enough of em are really good.   Devin Davis? Ranked JUST LIKE the kids we are back filling with, and through hard work and talent unrecognized by the national rating services, he's a keeper.    Others? Not so much.
