  1. That's one pretty clairvoyant read-in, doc.

I love this Hoosiers team. Not because they are currently all that special, connected, or focused. But because unlike other recent successful Hoosier squads, they have enough: Depth, Defense, Talent, and Character to win a national championship............This year.
  3. BRAD STEVENS ROCKS!! [emoji57]

(2017) PF Clifton Moore Jr. to IU

He plays like he was a short kid until high school. Very good, natural handle. Paging Lionel Anderson!
  5. Disagree. It's only frustrating if the ultimate goal is to win recruiting battles. For me, by far the primary goals are to win games, B1G titles, national championships, and to do so with young men who are truly student athletes and who Hoosier Nation can be proud of. We're one step away from all of those primary goals.

I'm guessing we start Bryant, Juwan, JBj, RoJo, and Josh. That would put RoJo on Kelan Martin, TB on Wideman, and Juwan on Chrasbczcrxzwrczz.

My knees get a little sore this time of year, and I have a head cold.
  8. Seems to me that we should have had some presence. If not because of a particular recruit, then at least as an investment in public perception.
  9. Looks like Donte Moncrief will be down from Indy on a few Saturdays and on the IU sideline!
  10. From his bio: .... Heard ....also served as ... quarterbacks coach and passing-game coordinator at Arkansas State, offensive coordinator at Lambuth and graduate assistant at Ole Miss.

However, in fairness to our Butler friends, only a measly three out of five Indiana Hoosier players who don't average ten minutes per game are from the State of Indiana, while a full (and impressive) two out of four Butler players who don't average ten minutes per game are proud to hail from the great State of Indiana. Moreover, only three Butler players come from the East coast, while a full four (count 'em, four!) IU players are from the East coast. Additionally, Butler has a real, live Indiana native in their starting five, while sadly, we only have one from Indiana in ours. IN SUMMARY: Butler has an impressive four out of fourteen Indiana natives on their player roster (28.5%!!), while sadly, we have sold out our program to outsiders; only five out of fifteen (33%) of our team was raised in the Hoosier State (though Timmy P was also born there ;)

And, in fairness, for comparison here are the hometowns of our ten minutes + per game gang of carpet-bagging mercenaries that descended upon our beloved Hoosier team and turned it into a national, globalist, tofu loving, east coast/west coast inner city main stream media swilling Big Ten program. As you can see, only 20% of our rotation players come from the great State of Indiana: Indiana Hoosiers Roster INDIANA HOOSIERS NO NAME POS HT WT CLASS HOMETOWN 0 Curtis Jones G 6-4 175 FR Richmond, VA 1 James Blackmon Jr. G 6-4 200 JR Marion, IN 2 Josh Newkirk G 6-1 195 JR Raleigh, NC 3 OG Anunoby F 6-8 235 SO Jefferson City, MO 4 Robert Johnson G 6-3 195 JR Richmond, VA 11 Devonte Green G 6-3 186 FR North Babylon, NY 13 Juwan Morgan F 6-8 230 SO Waynesville, MO 15 Zach McRoberts G 6-6 200 SO Carmel, IN 20 De'Ron Davis F 6-10 240 FR Aurora, CO 31 Thomas Bryant C 6-10 255 SO Rochester, NY

I have taken the liberty of showing you just how gritty a gang of Hoosier Hills schoolyard players this Big East Butler team is! Below are the hard-scrabble, picket fence-running, biscuit and gravy eatin' hometowns of each Butler player that averages more than ten minutes per game this season. Pretty much the ultimate unstoppable force of Hoosier awesomeness, they are. I am extremely concerned for the emotional security and safety of our team, and our loved ones. They may just steal not only the ball, but also our hearts and our name by the time this game is over. Sob, shiver, weep.

That, and DeRon knows how to use it. DeRon Davis is a true old-school, back to the basket, low post big man. A rare and valuable commodity these days, and we've got him for at least a few years. Pretty soon, teams are going to start double-teaming him on the low block. DeRon also passes the ball and sees the court extremely well, and our three point shooters are going to be huge beneficiaries. And I am glad.

Semi-official good news. Go get 'em, OG!!! Hoosiers forward OG Anunoby (ankle) to return Saturday 8:56 AM ET Andy KatzESPN Senior Writer Facebook Twitter Pinterest Email print comment The Indiana Hoosiers will get OG Anunoby back Saturday for the rivalry game against Butler in Indianapolis. He missed the past three games with a left ankle sprain. Indiana coach Tom Crean said in a text Thursday that Anunoby will play, but he's not sure if he will start against the No. 18 Bulldogs (9-1). The No. 9 Hoosiers (8-1) have won the last three games against low Division I teams without Anunoby. He suffered the injury in the Hoosiers' 76-67 victory over North Carolina on Nov. 30. Anunoby, a 6-8 sophomore, is averaging 12.5 points and six rebounds a game. Butler coach Chris Holtmann told ESPN that to beat Indiana, the Bulldogs must limit the Hoosiers' clean 3-point looks, prevent the Hoosiers from driving the lane and keep the Hoosiers from dominating the backboard.

G_d bless 'em, the SEC is a sucking suckfest.
  18. Oooh... him too. No internet access in the Blackmon house either [emoji79]
  19. Well... Crean would recruit the dog sh!t out of Indiana if he was shooting for two star and low three star Indiana hs kids. It's those darn high four star and five star Indiana hs kids that seem to think they can go anywhere in the country. IT'S THE INTERWEB AND CABLE TV THAT'S BEEN THE RUIN OF US I TELLS YA!! (except of course, for Cody, Yogi, Hollowell, and Swanigan, who obviously didn't have internet access and therefore stayed in state)
  20. And...while MSB will live forever, Tim Priller may very well get his IU degree and consider moving on, freeing up a fourth spot even if one of the three draft-possibles decides to stay. Also, we haven't had a scholly player transfer in over a year, which is unusual. In any event, we are reasonably likely to have four spots available at a minimum. My biggest worry? That Zak McRoberts decides to transfer to go on full scholarship somewhere else. The way he's been playing you'd have to think there'd be significant interest. However, since his big brother makes over $22 million guaranteed for four years playing for the Heat, maybe the family will choose to suck up the $20,000 annually for IU if Zak is really feeling valued and content. I know as an IU fan, I value his contributions to the team!
