It's coming from relatively connected posters in every major IU board, and a Chicago sports talk host just posted an article about CTC and Groce drawing scrutiny: http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2017/01/20/the-bernstein-brief-2-big-ten-coaches-under-pressure/

No, really! For the past few road games Tim Priller, aka Middle School Bob, aka "More Interesting than the Most Interesting Man on Earth", aka Big Man on Campus, aka, G_d's gift to everyone and everything HAS BEEN MISSING from the IU game bench! Where might he be? Combating ISIS Mentoring LeBron (again) Hospitalized due to uncontrollable dapping Filming an autobiographical super-hero movie Spreading the Incarnate Word Or...maybe one of you actually knows what has happened to the beloved IU virtual mega-star. Thoughts?

No thank you; he relies on a run and gun 3 point oriented offense due to lesser talents. That is not often effective at a high major with bigger, better athletes. Reminds me of Shaka or Groce.

Bump: Burgess. It is. Us. -
Either refers to McDonald's All-Americans or DeAndre Thomas-like players who crave fatty fast food. EXHIBIT 'A' EXHIBIT 'B'

So THAT'S where Josh Newkirk learned to shoot! (shame on me) Shoulders hunched forward and a claw-like release is no way to go through life, son.

I'd rather have Archie than Sean.

In my opinion, that is WAY too harsh. However, we do want to overachieve, and Butler is a prime, and nearby example of a program that routinely does so.

Wow; thought I'd get way more pushback with "The Nored Theory." BGleas, Pap, and OldFriend...what say you?

He's currently successfully coaching 20-somethings. I'm pretty sure his current NBA D-League point guard is a big fan of his coach. What's that kid's name again?

You can't say "****" in a post! Oops

Oooh, oooh! I think I see him on the bottom right in the red plaid jammies next to the washing machine!

Agreed! All kidding aside, my post that started this thread also begged for some info as to Tim Priller's status with IUBB.

Depends who the guys is who is delivering the message. There are only so many truly special, savant-quality leaders and communicators in the game. Once they are proven, they reach the pinnacle of the profession and find their place to cement their legacy. I think that Stevens is doing that in Boston like Popovich has, and you see guys like Roy, Few, Self, and K having done that in the college game. I want one of those guys at IU, and I have an inkling of a guy who will get to that level with whatever program someday satisfies him as an ultimate destination.

I'll fire up the discussion and throw a name out that would be a fantastic hire someday for IU; one that could stay for 30 years. He's got Indy ties with bball and family, he's a pure defense-oriented guy, he's got assistant experience in the NBA, D-league, and in college, he's currently a D-League head coach, and he is one of the smartest, best squared away basketball individuals and human beings there is...period. I'm sure this name will get slayed by y'all, because he is currently 26 years old, but as far as I'm concerned, to get a diamond you might have to be open to a guy that's a bit outside the "mid-major stalwart" box. I frequently don't know the answer, but this time I know... that this guy will be a major, MAJOR success as a coach. Ronald Nored
