Little question in my mind that this interest was in part prompted by discussions with Brandon Johns and Keion Brooks (and VERY likely a convo between Coach Shilling and papa Brooks). Which would be a really good sign.

Well, you can, but you're gonna take heat for doing so. Besides, moving on a rival firm's highest paid employee a few months after he's entered a big-time contract with a new company is not analogous to asking a girl for a date.

Lengthy March, 2017 workout video. Clifton has a really nice shooting stroke for a long, tall big guy:

You forgot Ball State, ND, Evansville, and Purdue.

Apparently Eric Ayala may still be a '17 option too. -
(2018) PG Darius Garland to Vandy

Well, yeah! A starting lineup of Garland, Langford, Juwan, DeRon, and Justin Smith sounds like banner material to me. -

I like having an open spot, and I kinda think that's what we'll end up doing. The best reason not to bank it is to achieve a little better class balance and not have a super sized class in '18. On the other hand, we can sell playing time to the '18s by having a short returning roster. -

'17 + playing time = Washington -
I recommend that they learn this one!

And prime examples of it are Swider and Damezi Anderson. Both were ranked well +100 until this week, and now both are solid four stars. Archie can see the local recruits up close. If he thinks that Henry and Anderson are worth our time and that Jallow might not be, then I'm really good with that.
-
For me it suggests that Archie is looking for one 6'4"-6'5" hard-nosed swingman type player. A guy like Jallow (who apparently is not showing well lately) Anderson, or Henry (who are apparently both starting to rise considerably). As for Hemenway, 15/6/3 while a soph on a senior dominated team and the same team as a senior Nunge is pretty strong. We will have five spots to fill. It feels like we are looking at two ball-handling guards (Langord, Garland, Phinisee, E Hunter, Carey), one swingman (Jallow, Ayala, Anderson, maybe Henry), and two stretchy bigs (Johns, Swider, J Hunter, Thompson). Since we are looking to replace RoJo, Josh, Freddie, and Collin, that makes sense to me, and would seem to leave us with a talent upgrade when the day is done.

So, what did you think of Henry and Hemenway? -

Here's a must watch to get a recent sense of two potential new IU recruits in a game setting. It will also remind y'all just how fantastic Indiana High School basketball is. It's the two months ago state semi-final showdown between Castle, featuring Jack Nunge ('17 Iowa), #22 in the black uniform, and a very impressive Alex Hemenway ('19, maybe IU), #12 in black, versus Ben Davis, featuring Aaron Henry ('18, maybe IU), #50 in white. Enjoy! -

2019 Castle SG Alex Hemenway to visit IUBB this week. He's a Hoosier in the making if he's good enough. -
Chris Holtmann named Ohio State Head Coach

Seems like an excellent hire for OSU. -
Yes. Duke commits: Jordan Goldwire, Shooting Guard, Class of '17 247Sports Composite Natl Comp 378 and : Jordan Tucker, Small forward, Class of '17 247Sports Composite Natl Comp 78atl Comp 78 but formerly as high as #37 say "hi."

YES!!!!!

Bullshirt. We may not get any particular recruit, but I promise you that Archie Miller is not in this to lose battles to anyone. He knows he will sometimes, but he is here to get what he wants, and win. You are too good a poster to have a hangdog attitude toward Duke, or any other school. I fully expect IUBB to start kicking @$$, on the court and with recruiting.
-
Invite him to the game at AH against Duke. He'll arrive thinking blueish-purple, And he'll leave thinking all crimson.

Chris Jent? Mike Brown?

Assembly Hall will be in full effect versus a Duke team that will feature as starters: Three (highly regarded) freshmen One sophomore who barely played as a freshman due to focus and immaturity issues A senior guard who is incredibly infamous for immaturity issues Love it. Love it. Love it.

Very classy response. The contrast between your take on this and Boucher's is striking...and not surprising.

The mods (dalton was ensuring board rules remained enforced) deleted the post. It was a random, silly, vulgar potshot at you. Done.

Gotta be. The buck stops right there.
