All I read is your conclusions, but no basis for those conclusions. What particular aspects of Devries’ resume are so terrible to you? Is it: Mentored extensively by McDermott & Altman? Wasn’t successful at turning around a Drake team that had one tourney appearance in 47 years before he did three of his last four? Turning a 9-23 WVU team into a 19-13 team his first year in P5 disappointing? Too old? Too young? Or is it “not famous enough brag to my Purdump friends and family about?” Tell me what it is so that I can understand.

Yessir—this is a must watch:

I’m gonna say this once and then drop it: Which poster vouches for someone truly matters. Did Hovadipo, Uspshoosier, Old Fart, Dalton, Stromboli, Fort Wayne Hoosier, Crimson and Cream, LiHoosier, or Demo vouch? To me that would be truly meaningful. For instance, I post a lot, but during the entire coaching season, there was one poster who I thought had credible inside info that I stuck my neck out for… @westgym. There are others that have access; many of them are wonderful posters and really good people, but when a mod endorses inside information, that is a rare and pretty ******* notable occasion.
