Zed Key is out with a shoulder-got hurt in the first few minutes of their Puredoo game. They’ve lost two in a row since then. As BGleas said, losing guys like Key, Wahl for Wisky, or Race/X for us affects the bottom line immediately. One of the plusses for us is that we are deep (really!) We clearly haven’t adjusted to the loss of Race and X yet, but we have players with enough ability to allow us to do so. Let’s hope that guys step up before our record gets ugly.

Here’s my RANT; Extraordinary overreaction when things don’t go as planned. It’s not a perfect world. Even with success, there will be backslides of failures and bad decisions. So today’s thing is a teeth grinder, but it doesn’t mean all is lost or that we’re likely to be 1-7 in conference. Is it possible? Sure. But it’s also entirely possible that attitudes, player roles, and performance improves. All of this doesn’t necessarily mean that the Woodson era will be a success, but it doesn’t discount that it might be.

He’s a bit too “old man yelling at clouds.” He’s not wrong, but he’s also not trying very hard to adjust to changes in society and the environment of the game.

Something that’s worse than posting absolute nonsense is going out of your way to repeat the same nonsense in the same few hours.

Whether you think the original post was accurate is so completely NOT the point. It doesn’t matter if the post is accurate, inaccurate, complementary, or insulting. Stay the **** away from these social media sites.

Because Miller Kopp has a man crush on that idiot, Dave Portnoy, and therefore thinks this is a place to push back with snarky responses on social media. Miller Kopp couldn’t be more wrong. Coach Woodson has repeatedly said that he wishes his players would turn off social media completely. Instead of listening to Mike Woodson, who is irrefutably a class act, Miller Kopp decided to take cues from Dave Portnoy.

Something is amiss. The Illinois board is convinced that things are barreling downhill and they won't be winning many games, the Penn State fans are convinced that they are about to deviate back to their norm, and the Michigan State fans don't think their roster is talented enough to win on the road. How can all these gloomsters be right?

Waiting for you on YouTube. Wilco “Cruel Country” Tweedy has been semi-lame lately, but this one returns to top form. Horsegirl “Versions of Modern Performance” they are young, British, and they rock Florence Beatrice Price “Symphony No. 3 in C Minor.” One of the great under-appreciated composers. Kevin Ayers “The Unfairground.” Founder of Soft Machine has a comeback masterpiece before he dies, with help from Teenage Fanclub, Neutral Milk Hotel, Roxy Music, and others. Highly recommended.

As I get older, I am as passionate as ever about wins, and WAY less pissed off about losses. That goes for all of the teams I root for.

So that’s one vote for “better chance he de-commits if Calipari stays.”
