This. With the caveat of "as long as a losing streak doesn't make us sad" and snowball. I firmly believe that if we get to 10-10 in conference we'll be fine. Losing games like this puts major pressure on us to win against Rutgers, Minny on the road, and Maryland without any missteps. If we win this one? Then all we need is two of those three, or an OSU upset and one of those three. That would be extremely achievable.

Love this post. However, while we've seen how this has played out this season so far, we do not know how the season will play out in total because the story is still far from written. We are 16-8, Woody has taken some strong public steps to instill a culture that he believes will be successful, and no doubt has taken some steps that are at least equally as strong behind the scenes.

In the mid-2010's Coach Knight was in the beginning and rapidly advancing stages of Alzheimer's, and made series of truly cringe-worthy, surly, inappropriate, and at times illogical public appearances. Moreover, at that time his outward appearance and voice was one of relatively good health. He had all of the piss and vinegar of the earlier version of himself, but none of the (relative) filter and sharpness. Maybe it was partly him acting out on his frustration with his situation. In any event it was a terrible combination. It's hard to believe that as his health issues advanced he would become so much milder and easier to see and hear. But that seems to be the case.

Thought I'd break this out since it has been a frequent topic of discussion. So far this year we have almost always gone with: X Parker Miller Race Trayce After 'Chicago-fest' we had a one game staring lineup of: Trey Anthony Miller Race Trayce On Woody's MSU pre-game press Q & A today, he was asked about changing the starting lineup. Previously when he was asked that, he was pretty clear that he was sticking with the usual. Today his answer was "I'll make a decision in terms of where I go with our starting lineup." He then changed the subject. He was asked again as the last question specifically about Trey starting. His answer? "...coming off the bench he's been great. The other night the first time he got a crack to start he was phenomenal the whole game. It's a thought; we'll have to make that decision after today's practice to see where we are. But he's definitely played well enough to be in the lineup." Makes it seem that it is very likely that there will be a starting lineup change at MSU, at least to include Trey Galloway. PS; Trey is 'up' to just under 30% from three this year. Not there yet in that respect, but trending better. After starting the year 1-6 from three he's been 4-11.

You guys haven't seen anything! I've got video of an athletic, muscular 7 footer starting at the 50 second mark of this video. Stepping out to the mid-range and from 20 feet, dunking from a ball-on-the-floor standstill with both hands. Impressive:

Complete referee malpractice at the end of the Boise/ Colorado St game. Refs making up new rules to get to a compromise call. The Boise player steals the ball with 3 seconds left and starts barreling toward midcourt. He gets shoulder checked by a Col St player and dribbles out of bounds. The refs swallow the whistle and don’t call the foul, but give Boise the ball even though the Col St player never touched it.

If you assume a worst case scenario I think you’re being unrealistic. If you assume only a best case scenario you’re also being unrealistic

Right now Ivey is a talented but very immature player. His body language sucks and it’s a home game.

It was weird —Purdue had fouls to give and was trying to foul, the Maryland kid wasn’t shooting because they were trying to foul, and both Russel and Purdue were mad at the refs.

Purdue was trying to intentionally foul and the refs weren’t calling anything so he was yelling at the refs.
