So, other than getting our #1 target and #2 recruit in the whole portal to commit, and waiting for a decision this week on our uncommitted #2 target, we seem to be striking out.

Ryan would be a helluva “consolation prize.” Cormac Ryan is a mature, pure catch and shoot stroke, defensive plus player. Very little ball handling but would nevertheless improve any program. Not nearly as high a ceiling as Knecht, but a higher floor.

Things are dire, Trish. Very very dire. Almost unfathomable sadness is our current prognosis; maybe our destiny. Wait, are you asking about basketball recruits?

You’d think that seeing a very similar player profile like Grace Berger as a top ten WNBA pick will be a major takeaway for Lexi Donarski.

That is fantastic for him and his family. Really glad to see that he’s getting home; great decision. I was skeptical but this is really good.

(C) Kel 'el Ware - COMMITTED TO INDIANA
Stuhoo replied to Chris007's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My question is do they end their time at IU loving it completely? Lots of kids, both athletes and non-athletes, choose a school while not quite sure if they’re going to love it. Some non-athletes make that choice based on financial reasons; scholarships for academic achievement. -
Clearly a Minnesota target. ;)

Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. Pretty excellent. Caitlin Clark's games when guarded by Lexi Donarski: 2022: 7-20 fg, 1-2 ft, 5 TOs 2021: 10-26 fg, 2-2 ft, 6 TOs 2020: 11-23 fg, 7-8 ft, 7 TOs

Fixed it for you.

20 minutes a day. No guilt when you miss a day. Always take stairs instead of elevators. Water instead of soda. Stop drinking sh!t*y coffee - good coffee doesn't need sugar or cream. There's so many ways.

That's completely awesome. Role model stuff right there.

I'm 57 and working out four or five times a week on top of 1.5 miles in dog walks daily. For me? My general attitude is: Doesn't matter who you are, where you are are, or what your equipment or facilities are, if you decide it's necessary there's always a method to get yo @$$ tired and check that exercise box for the day. My mom is an exerciser - she's 92 and walks a mile a day. A year ago she fractured her pelvis. Me and her were doing 'arm lifts' in her hospital bed the day after her fall. She was walking her mile a day again in four months. It's like brushing your teeth; it's just plain old something you do. Major props to @JSHoosier, who lost 120 pounds because he decided exercise is necessary!

Solid, solid 'catch and shoot' guard with good size. Would be a very nice addition for a four or five out offense.

B10 Basketball Recruiting Thread

Jack Wilson will be in his 5th year of D1 ball and has scored a career total of 84 points on 36% fg shooting. So not quite Tim Priller. -
I don’t find it at all confusing. One thing in this world that’s assured? That things will change.
-
Clearly upset because he was recruited over with the addition of Logan Duncomb. ;)

Chris Ledlum - Harvard Transfer to Tennessee -- Wait, Make That St. John's
Stuhoo replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Tennessee has a strange scholarship situation. My general understanding is that they have multiple seniors who could take an additional year but have not decided yet, plus they have Phillips who is exploring the draft but may return. I'm not sure how likely any of them is to actually return - I imagine Barnes will assure Ledlum and Knecht that there will definitely be room for them, but without the issue settled that's not optimum for UT. -

I can’t imagine any scenario under which recruits visiting other viable options is more of a good thing that a bad thing. -

Because after the meeting with Pitino, Slick Rick will show him the newly installed "Katina Powell Memorial Hot Shower Room?" -
Chris Ledlum - Harvard Transfer to Tennessee -- Wait, Make That St. John's
Stuhoo replied to Hovadipo's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
To get a Harvard degree while playing a very time-consuming D1 sport, Chris Ledlum needs to be a cut above in organization and saying what he means. Therefore, if he told Tennessee he was visiting, that's what he is going to do. Now even if he loved the IU visit he may also love the Tennessee visit and have a hard decision thereafter. But I generally like our odds here. -

Thanks for this @jbeaman9 -
It feels like Purdue will be featuring a lot of quality role players without Edey.
