And he's an Adidas kid. Feels like a Louisville/IU battle to the finish line. Sign him and give him the keys for 2026. -
(2026) - PF Trey Thompson to Iowa

When one thinks of “bribery, prostitution, gambling” in sports, one thinks of … Iowa? Hahahahaha -
Welcome Tucker. Here’s a place for one and all to opine on his future as a Hoosier.

New turf. Looks purty!

FWIW, I think that's Prince's prediction for IUBB non-conference. #TrustInPrince ... and look out Kensucky, Louisville, Marquette, and K State!

Agree with all of this… except? They have all but a zero chance of playing us close for a few quarters at their place. Maybe for a few minutes. It will be a nationally televised Thanksgiving weekend Friday night game; we will be coming off of a bye week; we will also very much have something to play for; Cig will show zero mercy and give zero f**ks; and we are so incredibly better than they will be. It will be epically enjoyable.

Geez... what a pessimist! If you take away those two bad games he was 14 for 29 from the line; SO much better! In those two bad games he may have fouled out half of the opponent players. #hackaMarcis -
2026 General Recruiting Thread (Bball)

The style of play and the personal characteristics awesomeness give off a serious Al Durham vibe to me. And if we're getting an Al Durham clone both on and off the court, that would be 100% excellent. -
I'd be great with reverting to old fashioned Indiana State tournament format! Every team makes it in and we pare it down from 350 something to a champ. First two rounds include home games for the higher seeds.

That's rough. lol I wanna say "hard pass" for so many reasons, but 7'00, 320 lbs and runs well is something that just flat out can't be taught. That having been said, there's gonna be some program that's way slicker and slimier than IU that is probably gonna win this sweepstakes. Will be interesting to watch how this plays out. This one has a Memphis/Miami-like feel to it in a big way. -
Apparently Purdoo was REALLY surprised last year then. :)

Absolute "doesn't matter if we have a bad day" 100% locked wins: ODU, Kennesaw, ISU, Purdump 80%+ - ish wins - either terrible teams on the road (MD) or mediocre teams at home: Maryland MSU Wisky UCLA Coin-flippers: Iowa Illinois Underdog of more than a TD: PSU Oregon Let's go with 8-0 on the easier ones, and 2-2 of the tougher ones. A revamped Oregon team coming off an IUFB bye and aPSU game the week after PSU is at OSU are both real possibilities. 10-2!

Here's the task: For those 12 games, predict the record. Feel free to either summarize or go game by game. Ready... GO!

I'm a serious coffee swiller/some might say snob. For me it's a double-espresso, made on my home equipment set-up, in the a.m., and maybe a second cup or espresso at work in the p.m. Any else's coffee addition turned into a hobby?
-
I would say Conerway projects more as a Coverdale type. Coverdale and Conerway both built strong for point guards.

It’s not the “Coffee” thread; it’s the “Coffee-Geekery” thread! :)

That's actually not a bad strategy. Put great coffee ground fresh in a pitcher in the fridge overnight and you'll have six days of fantastic iced coffee with no extra effort!
-
In order of importance: The quality and freshness of the ingredient. That means whole beans that have been roasted between 5 and 30 days before use. The skill of the 'cook'. The equipment. Ground by a conical or flat burr grinder (not a blade grinder) before each use. So freshly roasted, properly ground beans brewed in a Mr. Coffee is infinitely better than stale, pre-ground coffee brewed in very, very expensive equipment. Compare it to making a steak. The most important thing is getting a excellent piece of uncooked meat. Even a Michelin chef can't make it good if it's gristle that is six months old. And a great chef with a great ingredient can make it great with a bad frying pan. Give that great steak a great chef and great equipment and you're never gonna put ketchup on that sucker. Final rule: If you are making coffee that has ANY correlation with any ideas of @Hovadipo? It is bad and wrong and bad. And wrong.

We can do so much better for you my friend. When life is challenging, really good coffee or bourbon can make it so much better.

New setup!! MHW3 Navigator F74 grinder arrived today. La Cimbali DT1 Casa espresso machine to be plumbed in with new coffee bar installation and reverse osmosis water within a month or two. New grinder will be working with a French press until then.

Hey - I didn't mention the repeated lack of defense when that player is still in the back court complaining about perceived missed calls! Losing badly and thereafter intentionally poking my favorite Chloe Moore-McNeill in the eyes on an out of bounds play? Stuhoo don't forget.

Not exactly an NBA stat line, but because I'm an admitted hater, can someone tell me if a pro basketball player that is averaging: 18.2 ppg on 39% fg and 29.5% 3 pt, with 5.9 turnovers per game Would somehow be seen as a hyper-effective superstar?
