Guys... I think poster Oladipo's tongue is firmly in cheek.   (Or..he really loves him some Marlin.)

Oh, and by the way;   Jeremy Hollowell is turning into a very high-level defender.    (and Devin Davis may already be there).

Coach Crean talks about building a team identity. We are doing exactly that:   1)  Toughness  2)  Defense 3)  Rebounding 4)  Multi-skilled players   I would have really enjoyed it if we had won, but..   WE. ARE. GONNA. BE. GOOOOOOOOD.

Johnny Marlin has not had a turnover in his entire IU career!  Move over Zeke, Cheaney, and Alford, Johnny is the greatest of all time!
  5. I hope it was incredibly depressing.
  6.   Methinks that Kevin Ware and Chane Behanan's days at UL are numbered, and that they may have more room than their scholly grid would necessarily indicate.
  7.   What does your gall bladder say?   Always listen to your gall bladder as the tiebreaker.
  8. Sure...IU wins it...why not?  Don't cost nuthin' to say so!
  9.   I no longer remember him playing because I'm so old.

Very much so.  There aren't enough minutes for all 13 players to see the court. Right now it appears that we have a nine or ten man rotation, with Stan as the bit-part 11th.  PJ and Austin currently seem to be out of consideration during competitive games.

...Is pretty damn good. Much quicker laterally than I expected. Plays like an upperclassman. Doesn't force play, but gets involved. Seems to be in the right place at the right time, and spaces the floor beautifully. Has made a bunch of excellent outlet passes. Pretty damn good, I tell ya.
  12.   It's not quite that bad. More along the lines of "driving with his head up into a double team".  Kept rewinding my dvr on the issue last night, and it's there.
  13.   I'm not worried at all about Will, but with Jeremy, driving into traffic "Verdell style" is becoming a trend that needs to be reversed.
  14.   You are correct, sir.   Nice write-up by mdn, but Jeremy and Will are not going to enjoy the film review session from last night.
  15. Noah Vonleh is not "as good as advertised". He's better.

  17. A little light reading; It seems that student attendance at UK games is sliding, sliding, sliding downhill. Imagine that! Your college team is different every year. Your college team has no interest in a college education. Your in-conference schedule stinks. Your out-of-conference schedule has some top 25 opponents, but only in far away neutral site cities. That leaves one UF game a year, and an every other year home game against UL as the only competitive tix.   See attached Rupp Rafters thread; hint; for extra laughs, some are blaming the high $5 student ticket prices (tough economy, ya know!)   http://kentucky.rivals.com/showmsg.asp?fid=1383&tid=194391753&mid=194391753&sid=888&style=2

    MSU down to Columbia with...

How much better does that make Columbia than Kentucky?

Official IU vs Samford Game Thread

That was unkind, unwarranted, and uncalled for.   Stinkin' Jaybob should stink up the thread if he wishes.

    Quentin Snider to Louisville

Wow to QS's Twitter comment re: "bought".
  21. I see many posters accurately stating that we will be a dangerous team next year.   I believe that you guys are missing the obvious about this year: Hey... We will take our lumps at times. We will make our share of mistakes. We will have cold shooting nights. We will have trouble in hostile environments.   BUT: Our freshman will get more comfortable in their defensive sets. Many of the outside shots that have not gone in yet were missed with very technically sound shooting strokes.  Our turnovers are already not as bad as many might have anticipated, and that aspect will also continue to improve. Stan and Luke will get healthier. We are already very athletic; as our confidence increases, our athleticism will become far more apparent.   Guys...We are going to be a dangerous team THIS year.

    Crean's weak scheduling

      Strongly disagree.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2c6j1zjmfw
  23.   So Bolden's top five might be?:   1) LSU 2) Kentucky 3) IU 4) UCLA 5) hoosierpap
  24. Cody Zeller could not make it to this thread, so I will forward his tweets from last evening to express his pre and post-game thoughts:   Cody Zeller ‏@CodyZeller17h My hotel room in Boston tonight better have the Big Ten Network. I want to see what these new look Hoosiers are all about!   Cody Zeller ‏@CodyZeller12h I was way more nervous watching that game alone in my hotel room than I ever was playing in front of 17,000 fans!   Cody Zeller ‏@CodyZeller10h It's always a good night when UK gets beat. Michigan State is the real deal. They have a lot of veteran guys who can really play!
