Bad news: His family is in Iowa and he wants to be close to them. Good news: His family is in the Quad Cities...looked it up; 135 (edit: 335 miles) from Bloomington!!

I feel the presence of Fred Hoiberg lurking somewhere in the Ames, Iowa cornfields ready to pounce.

(2014) SF Josh Cunningham to Bradley
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
1) 1 out of 2 of Clark or Cunningham. 2) Lee, and if not Lee, Maten. Then all of da' sudden, we got bigs!! -
Well yee-freakin'-haw! This seems to be a very, very good idea to me.

Iowa has Woodbury, Olasheni, Uthoff coming back. I think Basabe might be done. Seems like we'd have a LOT more PT to dole out.

Our staff leaves no stone unturned. You can bet that if there is any mutual interest, we are all over this one. Seems like a perfect fit, but that is from an outsider's perspective.

Looks like he plays with the mindset of a true big. -
Who would you hire to replace CTC?
Stuhoo replied to KelleyHoosh's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Who would you hire to replace CTC? No one. Not yet. -
Back on topic: Troy Williams is one of those special players in the making who will be a hugely popular Hoosier for the next few years. CTC has routinely praised his ability AND his work ethic, and he seems to be an extremely popular teammate. You guys want to instill a winning culture at IU? Troy Stan Yogi Others like them And experience

True that. I guess ol' John Freed is humble afterall.

People People I'd like to see shut up: The woman who says "she must be hideous" in the State Farm commercial John Calipari Anyone from either political party who filibusters Gilbert Gottfried Jessica Simpson Johnfreed (jmo) John Calipari Barney John Calipari So there.

Wow; hit them with context and real information delivered from a position of knowledge and credibility? I can't wait to see the reaction to reality! One minor correction Doc; it's not that "people may complain but will keep watching", "it's people will complain but will keep watching"! They complain because they care, because they jump to conclusions, because they have values that don't connect to reality, because they want IU to do well sooo much....but complain they will!

Given only those two options... I vote for crazy.

One of my absolute favorite BtownBanners poster kicked this out a few hours ago. Y'all may call it window dressing, but it makes me extremely glad to see it: Damien Wesner @XanderKnight1 Mar 14 @DocLibby @CYount44 Is Coach Crean having as tough of a time as Painter? Reply Retweet Favorite More Expand Doc Libby @DocLibby Mar 14 @XanderKnight1 @CYount44 No way. Not even close. Crean has the respect of his players and they WANT to play for him.

(2014) PF Marvin Clark to MSU
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
If pap says so, I believe it. -
Absolutely can: Random man on the street sends Yogi's Mom the question "Is Coach Crean having as tough of a time as Painter?" Yogi's Mom gets lots of questions (and spiteful nonsense) sent to her, and chooses to respond to this one with "No way. Not even close. Crean has the respect of his players and they WANT to play for him."

A-freakin'-Men. Great post, 41.

Jes' guessing. Noah's not gone yet either, and Josh Cunningham's not on board yet.

I hope that I have a reputation that I am not a bomb thrower nor a pot-stirrer. When I saw this article from today's New York Daily News, I thought it was from a legit enough source that it would see this board sooner or later anyway, and that it deserved to be discussed: http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/basketball/knicks/woodson-land-hoosiers-article-1.1721216

The latter, but if you get caught you are unemployed, and unemployable as a legit journalist.
-
That article is not written by the average Bleacher Report journalist. It's written by Adam Zagoria, who is about as wired-in a college basketball writer as there is.

Haven't got my invite yet. PM'd my email to you Jaybob. Are they going out soon? -
If Coach Crean stays, and it is overwhelmingly likely that he will, this article is tremendously unhelpful. If he is going, the article is no longer an issue.
