Here's what I like about Ray Kasongo:   Even though his recruitment had a checkered pre-IU past, he is a physical beast who is extremely athletic. Yes, sometimes the high school competition was lacking, but his physicality alone should allow him to make an immediate impact, if nothing else as a 10-15 minute per game defensive and rebounding oriented big.   WAIT...THAT'S NOT MY TAKE ON RAY KASONGO!   That's all of our collective takes on Hanner Perea two years ago!   Moral of the story: hope for the best, but keep expectations in a reasonable place, y'all.

Seems to me that if Jalen were more suited to pg, ala Shake and Bryant Crawford, he'd be a huge priority recruit.   I believe I've read that Yogi is on track to get his degree by the end of next summer; we need another pg oriented player in 2015.

  I think most everyone, except for possibly you and DunnWoods, "buys what the staff is selling" (just that choice of words shows your bias). Your cynicism ignores the overwhelming number of posts in this thread that describe just how difficult it is to get into Canada with a recent DUI.   I think that the staff tried to get Hanner into Canada right up until a few days ago, and couldn't make it happen because of his DUI. Hey, that's kinda what the staff said!   Any other "theory" is tin foil hat material, unless there is some empirical evidence suggesting otherwise.

So far Nick has played a total of 71 minutes in Canada, 48 of those minutes against the two best teams in Canada. I AM NOT saying he's Calbert or VO reincarnated, but...   Hasn't missed a FT, Has shot very well,   And has a grand total of    ZERO TURNOVERS
