(2015) SG Shake Milton to SMU
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
SMU picked up a commitment from a 6'5'" three star wing today. That makes two in their class; they also have a pg commit: http://collegesportsblog.dallasnews.com/2014/10/smu-picks-up-commitment-from-three-star-wing-jarrey-foster.html/ -

I think you may be missing the takeaway, Wayne. Howard as a freshman was in no way, shape, or form ready to play defense for a D1 team. By his senior year, he had gained considerable strength, quickness, and in-game knowledge, and was probably our best versed big defender (sad, but true). MSB was weak, slow, and confused on the defensive end during the Canadian trip, but he's a fair bit bigger than Howard (2" taller and already weighs the same as an incoming frosh). That trip was three months before his 1st practice with the team! If he develops a bit physically, his shooting could turn him into a real rotation player by his junior year -

I like most of your post above, except for the last line. Middle School Bob has the same size, shape, and athleticism as Jeff Howard, but his skill level is inherently different. If (and that's a big if) MSB could be an effective stretch four and play position defense to Jeff Howard's level, he might carve a niche and have a real go at IU basketball. As you said that's a big if, but the good news is the coaching staff is starting to get answers over the next few months. -
Who Will Be IU's Next Commitment
Stuhoo replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Academically,Yogi is a senior. My take: If Yogi improves, he's a pro with a college degree. If Yogi plateaus, he's got his college degree and goes to play for money - why would he stay if he's got his degree and is no longer improving at IU? Conclusion: Enjoy Yogi this year. -

OG Anunoby. Discuss. -
I think my guess that it was a bootless Jeremiah with his head in the net was quite the bit of wishful thinking.
-
Ding, ding, ding...we have a final answer! If Mom says it's Troy...it's Troy! unless Jeremiah's Mom comes on line and disagrees ;)
-
I believe that would be the "bootless" Jeremiah April!

That's a long trip for a Colorado kid to come to HH for a weekend. Don't think it can be an official visit for a '16 yet, can it? PS: pap - what did you hear about HH being extra excellent?

You "just thought you'd provide a laugh" by posting the exact same thing on BtownBanners, 247, and Scout on the same day to provide a little levity about a coach you really, really don't care for. 1) You're po'd because this board figured it out. 2) When you read the posts that outed you, you got a little case of "message board flop sweat". Don't deny it...you did. 2) Your false indignation sucks. -

Are you the Pat Foley that used to play varsity bball for Marquette and works there now? PS: Tom Crean took Marquette to a final four and into the Big East. Buzz took them as far as an Elite Eight. Apparently in your mind that means: "and I am thankful Buzz took us further forward ". -

Well, I guess I can appreciate that...ONCE OUTED, you decided to show your true self. PS: If you think that CampCrean's eye is anything other than laser-focused, you are vastly under-estimating him. -

I'm not done with my detective work: Here's an opinion piece by Pat Foley. Not sure if it's the same Pat Foley, but I wouldn't be surprised: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- STEREOTYPED: RANKING THE MOST NOTABLE COACHES IN COLLEGE BASKETBALL NOVEMBER 14, 2013 PAT FOLEYTom Crean (Indiana) I have never seen a coach flop around like a Teletubby until I laid my eyes on you. Constantly swaying back and forth the bench like you actually are out-coaching someone. NEWSFLASH: You are not very good and you’re a one hit wonder thanks to Dwayne Wade. You, my friend, are a schmuck. Buzz Williams (Marquette) The most underrated college coach in any sport. He always seems to find a way to over achieve every season with a bunch of three star recruits and junior college transfers. This man never has a voice come the second half, which I love. Stressing defense and tempo constantly while never taking a seat qualifies for “My All-Fiery Team”. -

BTW; The "1st time poster" who put this on our board is Patrick Foley, a long-time Marquette fan that also placed this thread on the 247 board and the Scout IU board. Not sure if he's trying to troll for a negative reaction or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's Mr. Foley's motivation. If that's the worst he's got on Coach Crean...sigh... Just sayin'. -
