Easy $ Bet vs UK Fan

Sorry; Camp, misread your intended post. You said "the odds of them winning every game are very, very high" which to me means you thought it very likely. Should've know you meant "almost impossible".    Agreed.

        No.

See if you can get him to put another $100 on whether IU will lose every game by double digits!

Betcha that's CTC's current crunch time lineup too.
  5. At the risk of going completely OT (might as well, there's no more Josh Cunningham news to extend this thread:), what is the general reputation of each viable non-pay wall IU message board?   My take:   Btownbanners: The absolute best. Troll free. Information packed. Many, many posters who write really well. Insiders. Students reporting from campus. High comedy on purpose! No beat writer input.    Scout: Dead zone. Land of trolls. Occasional GoColts well-written but spiteful post.   247: Still pretty good. Very few trolls. Some good posters who write well. Very little inside info and weak recruiting research by the posters. Active. Beat writer input, but it's almost never a highlight contribution.   Peegs free board: Little brother to the Peegs pay board. Pure silliness - High comedy by accident.
  6. A great article from Rick Bozich. He watches a two and one-half hour IU practice and comments in detail!   Enjoy:   http://www.wdrb.com/story/26777002/bozich-five-takeaways-from-indianas-basketball-practice

(2015) C Thomas Bryant to IU

At this stage of his career, Boeheim has slipped pretty far into figurehead status. His assistants do a lot of the coaching; he is the father figure and final decision maker.   On Tom Crean, from today's Ft. Wayne Sentinel article:  "In practice, Crean paces the Assembly Hall floor, seeing nearly everything, pushing and prodding, encouraging and emphasizing. He demonstrates with passion -- getting into a defensive stance, surging into proper position, SHOWING rather than telling. He shouts to “rip it” and “attack” on offense, to “never dance with the ball” on defense.   VERSUS: Jim Boeheim explains sleeping photo: "It was before the game. It wasn't during the game.":

You know what?  I'm not gonna derail the thread, but I'm gonna say it, and I'm gonna risk others derailing the thread.   Here goes:   I know that Boeheim has a National Championship and is a Hall of Fame coach, but for an 18 year old recruit with a passion for the game...Jim Boeheim can't compete with Tom Crean.   There...I said it cause it's true.  :yahoo:
  9. Pete DiPrimo from the Ft. Wayne Sentinel saw the practice too! Interesting perspective here...enough to get the adrenalin flowing for sure:   http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20141014/SPORTS/141019823/1007

    JaQuan Lyle off the board

If my aunt had cojones she'd be my uncle.   He's not a three star.   (FWIW, I'd say...not worth it)

    Thomas Bryant's play-style comparison?   Dean Garrett...in a major way.

See my post #128 in this thread.   That's exactly what I'm trying to say.

    JaQuan Lyle off the board

I gotta say; I am on record as being a fan of high character kids, and I know he has a bit of a history...   but there's something about Jaquan that makes me think he is not a Jeremy Hollowell or Ron Patterson, and that if y'all hung out with him, he'd be extremely likable. The kind of kid you'd root for big-time to overcome and succeed.

To say that Kim Anderson is not a great recruiter is like saying that liquor is not a great birth control device.

Start watching at the 1:30 mark. Which big guy is going nuts enjoying the fruits of Jaquan's natural, savant-like basketball abilities?   That would be one Thomas Bryant.

My goodness that's a fantastic post.   I would LOVE to watch an IU game with you; it would be too much fun.
  18. FWIW, neither are "basketball schools", but both Oklahoma and SMU are shaping up to be quite good "basketball teams" for the next few years.
  19. If it happened, that would be the most likely timing.
  20. Jeff Howard did not play "because we had no on else". He played, at times during crunch time instead of Noah Vonleh, Hanner Perea, and Devin Davis because he understood defensive principles like positioning and help side defense quite well. Ryan Burton and Nick Zeisloft are getting their MBAs at the Kelley School. That means that they are both plenty smart, and it betcha they grasp those principles really well too. As I've said previously, I LOVE it when we get smart, squared away kids on the team. Juwan Morgan and OG are big time in that category.
  21. Or, leaves room for a big point guard. With a checkered past. Who is very popular as a teammate. And is very close friends with JBjr. And is a huge talent. (Maybe?)
  22.     If he's "Jeff Howard with a jumper", I'd be thrilled, and Ryan Burton will definitely get minutes.
  23.   WELLLLLL... For what it's worth, Shake's AAU coach was a D1 assistant. Apparently he's the real deal:   odney Perry     Position: Assistant Coach   Experience: 3rd Year at DU   Alma Mater: Missouri State '02     THE RODNEY PERRY FILE Birthdate: May 16, 1970 Age: 35 Hometown: Fort Smith, Ark. 24. Stop nitpicking, Kepner. The information is mighty interesting! Bb4iu; one more question if I might: Is Burton's rise largely a product of surprising achievement by Ryan, or surprising lack of achievement by some in our top eight?
