PS, a little more EYBL info:   Emmitt Holt was tied for 26th out of 437 players, at 7.1 rebounds per game.   Personal fouls per game?    Emmitt Holt's 1.5 per game put him at 266th most out of 437 players.

Folks:   The EYBL Nike summer circuit is arguably the highest level AAU circuit in the country. This past summer 437 players participated, including ALL the big names: Zimmerman, Rabb, Bryant, etc.    Emmitt Holt also played in that circuit.   Out of 437 players, only six averaged two or more blocked shots per game. Emmitt Holt averaged 2.1 blocked shots per game. He was fourth out of those 437 players.   Out of the players who averaged over one blocked shot per game (there were about forty of them) only ONE player averaged 1.5 or less personal fouls per game.    Who was the player who blocked the fourth most shots per game and committed the fewest fouls while doing so?     You guessed it...   Emmitt Holt.

  Great post earlier bleedh.    I think the answer to the Burton minutes is that Hanner had two early fouls and Emmitt had to run about 12 straight minutes. Emmitt needed a few minute blow.

I truly believe that if an IU alum were considered (and that's truly an "if"), the overwhelmingly most likely name that would be the focus would be Keith Smart.   NBA head coaching experience with three teams and now an assistant with the Heat, defensive mindset as a coach, and the right temperament. 

I strongly concur with points 1-10.   Point #11 is not true; you are making complete sense.   The real mystery to me is: If and when points 1-10 are realized, what will be the post-season reaction/fallout?

  Hanner is a known quantity that, for all his flaws, does some things well and will continue to improve. If Emmitt Holt met or exceeded that level during his freshman year that would be very good news.   Not sure that is going to happen, but Emmitt's first showing was certainly encouraging. If Emmitt steals minutes from Max, and eliminates him, Jeremiah and MSB from the rotation that would be a sign to me that Emmitt is showing real potential during practice.
