Since message boards are the place to report rumors, apparently someone on Peegs has a brother's cousin's uncle who is supposed to be a realtor who has listed the Crean house in Bloomington.

Is IU Content to be Little Engine that Could?
Stuhoo replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Tom Izzo has now gone to seven Sweet 16s in the last eight years. We have not done as well. -
Uk-oh. Wichita State just scored and y'all won't believe what Marshall did with his hands! He clapped them. Shamelessly.

RT @GoodmanESPN: Ben Howland has emerged as the frontrunner and is in discussions to take the Mississippi State job, sources told ESPN.

If Crean doesn't come back, Yogi could take off for his last year to play for a future Hall of Fame coach like...... Billy Donovan ;)

How many more wins does a healthy Devin Davis get?
Stuhoo replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
But let's not forget that before his car incident, Devin's actions appear to show that he was quite immature, and that he had some running buddies on the team that also had a lot of growing up to do. In a sense, Devin's injury may have been the wake up call that saved this team, not the player injury that harmed it. -
Immediately after the game a flight took off for Chicago! To me that means that our next coach is either: 1) Tom Thibodeau 2) Ozzie Guillen 3) Tom Skilling 4) Bill Murray 5) Scottie Pippen 6) Rahm Emannuel 7) Dick Butkus 8) Hugh Hefner or 9) Oprah FWIW, I hope it's Ozzie.

If the problem is "maybe the players really are not listening to what he is telling him", then the problem IS Crean.

Not to be a snarky bastahd, but this is an "If your aunt had cojones, would she be your uncle?" type question. Every team has injuries during a season. If we had lost Yogi or Troy, our two most important players, then 20-14 would suffice. Instead we lost Devin, who most were projecting to be a serviceable, but undersized big. Maybe our sixth or seventh man. Would that have put us from 20-14 to 22-12? Maybe. That's still unranked. Still an eight seed in the tourney. Still "just ok". -
Never had someone call my post "cute" before! Vonleh and Fischer were NOT our best players last year. Yogi was. Period.

We lost Yogi?

C'mon guys. We are two over the 13 scholly limit for next year and still actively recruiting more. And more. And more. And we have had some real off the court issues. You have to expect substantial attrition no matter what, no? -

Who is he?!?!? He is.... Indy Super Single: Joel Vanags Dana Hunsinger Benbow, dana.benbow@indystar.com10:11 p.m. EDT October 1, 2014 (Photo: Submitted photo) 63CONNECT 6TWEETLINKEDINCOMMENTEMAILMORE "His name is Joel Vanags and he starts his day at 5 a.m. ending late into the night. He has two degrees from IU. He bought his first home at 25 without any help. He is in the process of buying another. He has worked for Koorsen Fire and Security since the day he graduated and is also one of the top Realtors in town. He has coached a 6th grade travel basketball team and, more important than anything else, Joel spends his time helping others better their lives. You will never hear a negative comment about this amazing man. Joel makes everyone his friend and, trust me, he has had one of the most devastating years a family could go through but you would never know it. Did I mention he can cook like no one's business? He is strong, handsome, kind, successful and has the most beautiful loving blue eyes you will ever see. If you want to be treated like a queen and have the best joy in life then Joel Vanags is your man." Vote for Joel here by "liking" his photo. -- Nominated by Lisa Vanags -
Potential fallout from coaching change
Stuhoo replied to HoosiersLoveBanners's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketball/feature/25110905/marshalls-plan Some insight directly from Gregg Marshall regarding whether he will leave WSU. "Would Marshall, theoretically, like to bang heads with a Mike Krzyzewski or John Calipari? Sure. He's a competitor at his core. But he'll never take a historically average job relative to its league just to do it. "The only way I'd leave for [a power-conference] job would be if I had an opportunity to fight on solid ground," Marshall said. "I would want to fight on equal footing." Translation: Don't call unless you're an AD with one of the best programs in whatever league you reside -- like Wichita State is in the MVC. Otherwise, you're wasting everybody's time." -
Potential fallout from coaching change
Stuhoo replied to HoosiersLoveBanners's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My main worry about Marshall is that he has had a great three years at WSU, but that it has been done with the same core group of players (Van Vleet, Cotton, Baker, Early for 2/3). Yes, he won at Winthrop too, but it was against a small conference schedule.. Also, he is older than Crean. Stevens only won with inherited talent? You gotta be kidding me. This year he inherited one of the worst NBA rosters one could imagine, and he's on the verge of taking them to the playoffs. -
