Holt and Hartman are not good because they "hustle"; Old Friend is right: playing hard should be a given and most all players do so. The reason that it appears that Holt and Hartman "hustle" is because, ulike a less intuitive player like Perea, Holt and Hartman use their bodies well, have pretty good footwork, and mentally process well so that they intuitively get to more than their share of loose balls and offensive rebounds. I very much like Holt off the bench for that reason. When playing against either an opponent's backup bigs or an opponent's tired starting bigs, this "nose for the ball" gene that is wired into Holt seems to be magnified.

I'm gonna go with... None of the above...give me Hartman! He can guard the four, he's another shooter, and he gives us Rojo as a true combo guard off the bench, and Holt as a big that can guard the 4 or five off the bench. Also, he will now be 18 months removed from his ACL surgery, and his athleticism should be a good bit better than last year.

Not Levert. Not a freshman. Yogi, Trimble, Valentine, Hammons, Hayes, Tate: one of 'dem.

Yay free stuff!! (tic...kinda) Pretty impressive that this thread has gone this far without getting overtly political, and without blaming the one person who everybody knows is primarily at fault... Bush, er, Obama, er....Nixon?....errrrrrrr....the Black and White Panthers??? I feel like it's come to the point where y'all need to know the identity of the finest Presidential candidate there is: VERMIN SUPREME!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxaLOsqTIQw

Stop. Hutch clearly stated that he wanted to answer some tough questions accurately. Just stop.
-
There's certainly a couple of "dodgeable" questions in that mix (#s 3, 4, and 5 are pretty dicey IMO). Educated answers to all six questions? Can't wait! Thanks

Crickets still? C'mon Hutch...whaddya think?

What are your expectations for the 2015-16 season?
Stuhoo replied to darkwingj's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Agreed. Stevens has already been a tremendous success in Boston. I think if/when Stevens comes back to college, it will be a family, lifestyle, and teaching decision, not because there's no NBA head coaching job available for him. -
(2016) PF T.J. Leaf to UCLA
Stuhoo replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
I have read as a fact that TJ showed up on the day of tryouts from an extended tournament, and was not at his best during tryouts. Pure speculation? This was also his first time actually being coached by Miller. Didn't like the way Miller handled himself? Could be a variety of things, but that weekend probably sealed the de-commit. -

Screw you. You suck. -
In civilized society we ban stuff because of the connotations they present all the time; it's a line-drawing exercise as to how far ya wanna go. For instance; we ban the use of racial epithets on this site, no? The government bans campaigning within a few hundred yards of a federal election polling booth. The government banned the display of the Nazi flag during WWII - no one complained. The only place the Confederate flag has been banned is on government land; not private land. BTW: I'm not African American, but I'm pretty sure that if I was, that flag would be scary as sh_t.

Even Mrs. Rubio and Mrs. Santorum don't agree on this quiz with their husbands that much! (LOL)
-
^^This!!^^ Rubio went into huge personal debt while making over $200,000 per year, and gave cushy no show jobs to family members out of his campaign funds. All in his 30's.

Here's what the perspective of this 50 year old can state: The world, and this country are in a far less dangerous place than 50 or 100 years ago. However, the ability to acquire information about the country's and the world's problems has absolutely exploded. Compared to 50 or 100 years ago, wars are fewer, racism is less prevalent, famine has lessened, genocide and pure dictatorship is harder to find, slavery has lessened, and life expectancies are up. However, all these issues still exist. We notice the problems; that's natural.

I would NEVER support a candidate based on which party they belong to...too many crooks and idiots on both sides of the aisle. That having been said; Carson was extremely likable and is obviously incredibly smart, but I wonder if he is qualified to be a chief executive when he is 60 years old and has never been in government or run a large business. I also wonder if Kasich, who is incredibly qualified, will get any traction. To me, Walker and Cruz are kinda creepy.
-
Much more likely he would be a conditional offer...as in: "We are offering you a scholly spot, but we will not take your commitment quite yet."

The IU recruitment of this player will absolutely fry the shorts of any Purdue fan who has been invested in their loooong recruitment of X. -
(2016) SF De'Riante Jenkins to VCU

That would be Rojo's school...no? I have a sneaky suspicion that this young man is more likely than not going to be a Hoosier. -
I read Scout during the Gordon/DROSE recruitment. Never posted, but eventually decided to jump in during the great HSN. Hated the 247 software. When EvilleAngler(one of my favorite posters...is he still here?) Pmd me to Btown, I was hooked. You people complete me.

Alright...let's play. The rules are: 1) Fill up to six slots (Yogi, NickZ, MaxB, Troy, JBJ, Open Slot) 2) Fill regardless of position; but keep in mind who's likely to be left after our required departures. 3) Make room for the national and nearby choices. 4) Allow for chemistry. 5) Rank your choices in order of preference. 6) Obtainable choices (within reason) please! 7) Don't run with scissors. __________________________________________________ I'll try first: 1) Thon. Nuff said, and he would likely bring his 'lil bro with him. 2) Rawle Alkins. Offensive focal point. 3) Bruce Brown. Super, super tough young man. 4) Curtis Jones. Need some outside shooting. 5) DeRon Davis. Watford + 2 inches of height. 6) Grant Gelon. Need lots of shooting with Yogi, Nick, and JBJ departing. Let's add a local that can snipe the 3ball. Honorable mention: Miles Bridges. If we stand a chance he rates top three on this list.
