Rick Bozich Watches a 2.5 Hour IUBB Practice!
Stuhoo replied to Stuhoo's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Now it's Zach Osterman's turn from the Indy Star. Less player-specific observations from this perspective: http://www.indystar.com/story/hoosier-insider/2014/10/14/what-we-learned-from-open-practice-at-indiana/17236235/ -
Rick Bozich Watches a 2.5 Hour IUBB Practice!

Emmit appears to be very similar to Devin, and that's good; for this year we need another Devin. Jeremiah appears to be very similar to PJ; very tall man of mystery that will never play. Troy and Hanner are ready for liftoff. JB2 an Rojo are going to be the kind of players that makes our fanbase feel confident every time they are in the game. -
Pulse of IUBB with Shake and OG

Pulse of IUBB with Shake and OG

Freshmen are supposed to be "lost". As long as they can get "found" by about midway through their sophomore year, it's all good. To get found, he needs to have ability and a great attitude. By all accounts, OG has both. -

Minor correction: We are currently one over-committed for next year. By the end of this week, we will be either one, two, or three over-committed! :92: -

We shall give OG the nickname... "Ogugua"! -
Jaquan Lyle at Hoosier Hysteria?

Many things in this world surprise me. Jaquan Lyle attending Indiana University would not surprise me. Not one little bit. Not at all.

I'll have an order of #2, please. Hold the fries.

Stinking UK practice on ESPNU now

A "college" basketball team whose coach has not recruited a player who obtained a college degree in over eight years. Semi-pro mercenaries. Sad stuff. -

Or Chris Reynolds. Or Calbert Chaney. Or Hundreds of others! -
I think that Luke Fischer is a pretty good kid, and will be an excellent D1 high major player. He was homesick, and he didn't appreciate the vibe on the team last year. Most of us would agree with him that last year's team chemistry was not good.

Does anyone have any practice tape or cook hall...

Little know BtownBanners poster factoid: If Hanner needs help getting that modeling career started, he should pm Napleshoosier. Naples is a bit humble and shy about it, but the man used to work as a Chippendales dancer and an Abercrombie and Fitch model! Look him up under his stage name..."Nipplelicious!" I have enclosed a picture of him in his heyday: -

It is worth noting that the list, including Anthony Lee, consists of a total of 11 players, but that those 11 players are only playing on seven different teams. That means that there are six teams other than IU that does NOT have a big who can push us around (Penn St, Maryland, UM, MSU, Rutgers, Nebraska). -

Starting bigs in the B1G who play way bigger than our bigs (except for maybe the new and improved Hanner): 1) Kaminsky 2) Hammons 3) Woodbury 4) Alex Olah 5) Amir Williams (though he kinda sucks) 6) Olaseni 7) Egwu 8) Eliason 9) Mo Walker 10) Nigel Hayes Minny, Iowa, PU and Wisky all should give us fits on the interior. -
(2015) SF Ogugua Anunoby to IU
Stuhoo replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Two things: 1) At least 6'6", long and athletic makes for a fantastic frame for a defensive wing. 2) Hova and djsalway are extremely credible posters and are on campus. If they stood/sat right near OG during his visit and saw that he was about the same height as Troy, DD, etc, that's more than good enough for me! -

If they stay at IU, yes. In other words; post season convo between player and coaching staff: Player: "Coach, I really think I can be a starter next year". Coach: "We don't think you'll even be a rotation player, but you're welcome to stay". Player: "I will look around for other options".
