IUfanCharlie=JohnFreed=IUfanCharlie=KyleHornsbyRules. An IU fan who wants IU to win, but doesn't care for the coach or more than one or two players. Sigh -
CTC's message to the Crimson Guard

Twelve? Sure. BUT NOT THIRTEEN!! -
To properly know what the remedy for a situation is, it is extremely important to have a full command of the facts of the situation.

Wow, JS. Let's take it as a given that there are about 30 major conference teams each year in the tourney, and therein which are capable of winning the national title. Under this logic every major conference team except for one underachieves each and every year. With those expectations, expect to be disappointed a whole lot no matter who you're rooting for.

(2016) SG Nico Clareth to Siena

How you come with some of these nuggets, I have no idea. As always, kudos ccg. PS; Don't know if he can play, but "Nico Clareth" is a cool name. -
I thought the 15 turnovers against Mich St (which I believe were mostly in the first half) was a stronger sign of progress than the Penn St performance. The Penn St 13 turnovers was a continuation of a good trend. A bit of perspective; we only have one player handling the ball who played significant minutes for us last year.Turnovers should be expected, but progress should also be expected. We're getting what we expected, aren't we?
-
Like he*l we can't. Penn State plays three quick guards and we did a nice job of protecting the ball. Wisconsin is a test a level higher. I betcha we do a pretty decent job.
-
Yes - exactly right. By the way, our very young team is hard at work correcting their turnover issues, and they are making real progress if I'm not mistaken.
-
A slight amendment: Howard is a smarter defender than Vonleh (for now). And in the last few minutes of a tight game against an opponent with no dominant big for Jeff to have to handle, that matters.

Guess what? We're gonna beat Michigan State University this Saturday. -
FWIW, a poster on The Scout forum (who, by the way, is definitely not a CTC fan) posted that his friend's IU freshman niece lives in the same dorm as Luke. She apparently said that Luke was extremely homesick, that he didn't leave the dorm much, and that his mom visited him most weekends. Sounds like a recipe for a transfer back to the land of cheddar! Now, if he transferred to that Alfred guy at UCLA, the staff would have some explaining to do ;)
-
Yes...we should've hired some guy named "Alfred". :sarcastichand: No starts for a freshman who is 13 games into his career and was often first big off the bench? Puhleeeeease. Even a two post troll or (Not so much an IU)FanCharlie should be able to figure out this was not a playing time issue. Either Luke was purely homesick, or did not feel comfortable with his teammates, the coaching staff, or the style of play. Or some combination of any of those four factors.
-
It hurts because Luke is a good kid and will be a very good player. However, Luke was not well suited to an open-court dribble drive offense.
-
That's a little harsh! ;) Luke seems to be a good kid. Went home for Xmas and wished he could be closer to family and friends? Best wishes to Big Fishes.

I believe that McGary's post-tournament buzz would not necessarily have equaled his June draft spot. Cody certainly gained a lot of ground post-tourney, and McGary was already starting to have back troubles before this season. There's not a high likelihood he would have been a lottery pick.
