It's the personnel now being used! Rojo, OG, and Juwan are sucking up JBJ's minutes, and those are probably the three best defenders on the team. Don't believe me? OG and Juwan guarded Nigel Hayes down the stretch, not Collin or Troy.

Indiana v. Wisconsin postgame thread
Stuhoo replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Not what happened. I had it on the DVR and replayed it twice...and it was pretty funny: As the game ended CTC started walking toward Wisky Coach Gard with his hand starting to stretch out for a handshake Wisky freshman Ethan Happ walks toward the handshake line and past CTC just as CTC sticks his hand out Haap thinks CTC is giving him a quick 'good game, kid' slap, and returns the gesture by slapping hands with CTC Happ continues to the back of the line, and CTC looks confused -

Not me; freshmen are too inconsistent. However; Nick Zeisloft is waaaaay overdue for a big game. -
Bethesda and Chevy Chase are beautiful, if you have $675,000 to spend on a 1,400 square foot house.

How do you know the size of his toesies? -
I'm a big fan of Silver Spring inside the Beltway (near Silver Spring center). Lived there for a few years; easy access to the Red Line subway, lots of excellent walking distance activities/options, not super overpriced (though DC is pretty expensive for anywhere decent), lots of 30-somethings/young married couples, inventory of well-kept small houses, reasonably safe without a cookie cutter gated community feel. One of the absolute favorite areas I've lived in.

James Blackmon Jr to undergo Surgery *Out for Season?
Stuhoo replied to rebelhoosier848891's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Thank goodness he comes from a family and chose to attend a university where basketball players are greatly encouraged to obtain a education and a degree. -
Tom Crean...many coaching questions...good guy: Flew to funeral of Tom Izzo's dad immediately following Nebraska game.

Hey Hovadipo, Pap, djsalway, Olivia Pope, Jtreesh, etc: Hope you're not too young to care about that Indiana Basketball tradition :D

"When Indiana called...That’s like a dream come true right there.' Newkirk said. "Just the institution, the tradition Indiana has, they’ve just got a true fan base, and all that kind of stood out, too." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gelon: “I’m an Indiana guy...IU, the candy stripes, the legacies, I love it, everything. Bobby Knight, the whole thing. Assembly Hall is the Taj Mahal to me of gyms and I’m just going to love it there. I’m so excited.” --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IU's newest commit said he had never experienced an event quite like Hoosier Hysteria, citing the family nature of the IU basketball program and its fan base. "The fans will come out for rain, sleet, snow," Al Durham Jr said. "Just sit out in line and wait to get inside the gym so they can watch the Hoosiers play." Durham’s father, also named Al, said his son was ready to commit after his latest trip to IU. “We got a lot of offers, and we’ve seen a lot of schools, and why wait?” he asked rhetorically. “Indiana is Indiana basketball.” ------------------------------------------------------------------- Harrison Niego grew up an Indiana basketball fan. He loved the tradition, the program and the players who wore the Indiana uniform over the years. When he had a chance to be one of them, he took it. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The Jefferson City High School senior has verbally committed to attend Indiana, choosing the Hoosiers over several other schools including Iowa, Georgia, Ole Miss and Gonzaga. "I felt most comfortable there with the coaches and the players," Anunoby said. "It's exciting, with all the tradition and history of the program."

Bah, humbug. You guys sound like a bunch of "get off my lawn" "kids these days" grumpy old farts. People are people, and there are plenty of fantastic, historically connected young people and brain dead young people, just like 32 years ago when I started at IU. Now get off my lawn and quit yer bitchin' ya cranky ol' bastahds.

(2016/17) PG Markus Howard to Marquette

I love it when a good recruiting thread catches on. Good stuff that we haven't heard enough of lately! This could be: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHxqAxNU3Is -
Not sure where to put this, but this week's rankings are out. We are up to 35th in the AP poll, and 39th in the coaches' poll. IUBB should be top 20 in both polls for the majority of nearly every year. When we are not, I am not pleased with the state of the program.

Borderline 5 star point guard whose dad played football at IU. We get his final OV for the home game against Purdue. Doesn't get much better than that. -

Silly man, of course they will have room for #1 Josh Jackson too! -
I am NOT saying that he will ever be this good, or that the extremely small sample size equates to a comparable, but I think the reason the peoples like his game so much is because it has a little bit of... Bobby Wilkerson

Indiana @ Nebraska - Post-game thread - 1/2
Stuhoo replied to MartintheMopMan's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
With about five minutes to go in the game my son told me it was great to watch an IU game when I wasn't complaining about JBJ's defense throughout. lol -
No, he is the first OG Anunoby.

Bumpity, bumpity, bump, bump, bump!! HoosierTrav and others nailed it.

Why was the defense so much better? Three freshmen. The most important of which only played six minutes against Rutgers. Huge kudos to TB and the coaching staff for dramatic defensive improvement by the big fella since the start of the season. -

Stuhoo replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Yes! One of CTC's better moments: Miles loses his nut, CTC keeps his cool and doesn't back down, and IUBB rolls. Let's hope for a similar outcome today!! -
Exactly.

Analysis: IU-Rutgers ... Well, that was interesting
Stuhoo replied to IndyHutch's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I would expect us to finally win enough this year to get IUBB into the top 25. Not sure what kind of B1G record will do that, but that's what it takes in my mind, at a bare minimum. -
Two and a half straight years of NEVER being ranked in the top 25 for any meaningful time will definitely have that effect!
