  1.   We play at a fast pace and have had pretty good points per possession numbers in the years preceding last year.   Low turnovers as a highlighted positive number? Wisconsin, we ain't.
  2.   This post would be a damning indictment of CTC's teams were it true, but it is not.    We were very high on turnovers last year. With a sophomore pg, a freshman 2 guard, and a freshman at the 3 spot. The two years before last we were not high on turnovers. Experience = fewer turnovers. Period.   Length? This coming year, Yogi is not a "long" player. Hanner is. Troy is. Devin, if he plays the 4, is. Stan is. AntLee, if he comes to IU is. JB2? A little longer and taller than you think. RoJo? Not long. Yante and Josh C? Both very long for their positions. Max? Doesn't seem so.    Overall? Better outside shooting, more experience with our ballhandlers. And...pretty much gotta be better team chemistry.

  9. Dakich reads the message boards.   It will surely be tested as to whether he feels the need to discuss this line of info.
  10. CR3AMnCR1MS0N, on 25 Mar 2014 - 2:00 PM, said:   FWIW, there were 271 players who played at least 200 minutes and were therein eligible to be graded. Trey Lyles, as a top ten five star, graded out at 64th.   How did our IU recruits do?   JB2: 34th RoJo: 80th   And our hopefuls?   Yante Maten: 20th Josh Cunningham: 97th   My general point remains that Yante Maten's credentials against high-level competition have been a bit of a mystery, and that this is empirical evidence that when he's out there with the big boys he's more than capable of holding his own.
  11. For you sabremetrics geeks, I found Yante Maten's PER (Performance Efficiency Rating) from last summer's EBYL AAU league. He was playing against the big boys, and he fared extremely well. (btw, Trey Lyles sucked eggs).   See the linky:   http://www.d1circuit.com/news_article/show/269280?referrer_id=790866

    OT: Shaka Smart to Marquette?

I'm gonna start the completely unfounded rumor...Jeremy Hollowell is perfect for the run-n-gun HAVOC Shaka Smart system!   -> It is destiny that Smart's Marquette Warriors are to have their fast break offense anchored by the slick ball handling of transfer Jeremy! -> With Big Luke outrunning the other bigs! -> (also appropriate would be Danny Moore at pg dribbling the ball off of his foot).
