The first week or so of April is a hot time there at ky and barkley lakes for crappie.  Hit the shallow docks and brush with minnows and jigs. Stop in at a local bait store and ask them how things are going. As you know Rend is a great crappie lake if you can find them.

The warm weather down here sure helps in the amount of time spent on the water.  Hope you have a banner year. The BIG bass should be eating up there on the warm days, especially after a couple of them in a row. Try a spinnerbait close to shore/flats on the Northern sides of the lakes. Won't get a lot of bites but should get a big one if they do.

With "scorers" coming in I think some of the pressure will be off of Yogi to score, leading to more assists and just a more rounded team.  Think the guys coming in will help spread the court allowing players like Stan and Troy to prosper.   Hope we get a good serviceable big somehow to fill that inside gap. Come on Hanner, wear out Cook Hall!

These are my favorite inshore fish to eat(mangrove snapper).. snook is up there too.

Sat in my boat a couple weeks ago watching a 6ft poon smashing ladyfish on topwater, was crazy! It took off before I could hook a ladyfish...

Thanks, was the first one I ever hooked too! Buddy had one on the same day that would have went 150lbs.. followed it for 2 hours till it finally rubbed through the leader. Both were hooked on 3in paddletail swimbaits.

They are fun on nests, been catching some that way on topwater poppers on fly rod.  Have had a few specks(crappie) on top too, always a surprise.

Don't see a problem with a player who doesn't get much pt and has his earned his degree going elsewhere to get some play.

There are 2-3 guys on here that seek out any positive comments so they can piss in that person's breakfast cereal of choice.  Why is it that you have to post a negative comment to EVERY post that's NOT negative? You guys feel better about yourselves afterwards? Do you do this when youre not online or do you come on here because no one will stick around long enough to listen to your constant complaining?     You think people who try to find something positive to say don't see the negatives?
