Merry Christmas to old friends, new friends, and you to Jayboob!

What did Peralta get? $53 million for 4 years? Fresh off a 50 game suspension for PEDs. That's awesome. So how will that work when Ryan Braun comes to town? Boo him mercilessly and then cheer Jhonny when he smacks a homer?

(2014) TE Jordan Fuchs to IU
johnsoniu replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Football Recruiting Forum
Very solid pick-up. Should be a January enrollee and ready to go for spring ball. -
Indiana vs Notre Dame Post-Game Thread

We should keep doing the weave. Play "Sweet Georgia Brown" on the PA, have Will throw a bucket of water on Ted Valentine, and then Yogi banks in a hook shot from half court. -
Jacob Bailey/TJ Simmons ESPN B1G All-Freshmen Team

Congrats guys. Bailey was third team on the depth chart to start the season, before the injuries hit. We are building some really nice depth on the OL. -
Indiana vs Notre Dame Post-Game Thread
johnsoniu replied to JaybobHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
You may be right. I'll put it in terms everyone can understand. Our substitution "pattern" sucks and is pretty much indefensible. This young team has no hope of gelling and becoming a cohesive unit as long as the parade of hockey line substitutions continue in their random fashion. I have a pretty good idea why our players always seem to leave their feet with the ball and no idea who to pass to.....they don't have a clue as to who is in the game with them, let alone where that person is supposed to be. -
He's not the only one that has that move mastered. I'm beginning to believe it is one of our offensive sets.

Question of the day: Which is more mind boggling: Crean's manical substitution patterns or Doug Mallory still being employed? -

Probably not. I think that is the "outfit" he has been dieting to fit into. -
Introduce a new fan to Indiana football
johnsoniu replied to HoosierLarry's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Our OL is decent, but was decimated by injuries this year. Two of the projected starters never even made it to the season and only one guy started all 12 games, and he is undergoing off-season surgery for an injury he played thru the last half of the season. We played 3 different centers due to injuries. The fact that we had a top 15 offense with a merry-go-round on the OL speaks to the depth at that position CKW and OL coach Greg Frye have already built. Next year we will have 9 OL who have extensive experience. -
Introduce a new fan to Indiana football
johnsoniu replied to HoosierLarry's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Absolutely agree JS. Which is why I find it so maddening that CKW has choosen to stake his future on a proven bad coordinator. I don't know if its his ego that refuses to admit it was a crappy hire or some sense of loyalty he learned from Stoops, who is fiercely loyal to his assitants. Of course, Stoops never had a DC that thought a twist was a type of ice cream cone. -
Introduce a new fan to Indiana football
johnsoniu replied to HoosierLarry's topic in Indiana Hoosiers Football
Most people think CKW is pointing things in the right direction and perfectly fine with giving him a couple more years. However, the failure to pull the plug on Mallory is wearing peoples patience thin, presently company included. -
Anyone, anywhere, who has ever been associated with football whose name is not Doug Mallory. Welcome to the board and congrats on getting into the Kelley School of Business. Here's a link to a thread we had on possible DC replacements link

Jeff Triplette has been one of the worse refs in the game for a while. Last week and today he has removed the "one of" qualifier from that label. The Colts are looking horrible, and are regressing as the year winds down. Most likely we'll face KC in the play-offs, could get ugly.

Mallory still having a paycheck has rendered me speechless.

Florida just fired their OC, Brent Pease ( yeah, the same Brent Pease that had a cup of coffee here). Heads are starting to roll....CKW and FG, you are officially on the clock.
-
Lynch was fired at a 5 p.m. press conference the day after the bucket game in 2010. Every SECOND that Mallory would remain employed past that timeline, my faith in CKW begins to erode. And I am one of CKWs staunchest supporters.
-
You're not. Kofi's tweet is the lockerroom equivalent of "Love ya bro, best of luck".
-
Good to see Houston, Kofi, and Ted all get scores in their final game and leave with the Bucket in their possession. Am hoping Wilson was busy watching the end of the Bama/Auburn game, thus the delay in the Mallory is fired announcement.

holy crap
-
No, they were ejected in the 1st half, so they are good for next week. When you are ejected in the 2nd half you have to sit out the first half of the next game.
-
Frank Solich had a slightly better record than Pelini, and they ran him out of town. And he didn't even act like a petulant jerk like Pelini does. Nebraska may not be elite, but that fan base won't believe it.

Not for long ;)

Lol, we're die-hard IUFB fans, without our dreams, we don't have much.
