I have said many times for well over a year leading up to his decommit that if he was healthy and didn't blow his knee out he would have been committed to UK. When he decommitted, I felt there was 0% chance he ended up at IU. IMO, this instance if he commits here should put any questions to bed about the level of recruiter Crean is. To answer your question directly, it isn't wrong when it happens. I have never seen an instance where the chatter like Devin Robinson, Theo Pinson, or Cody Zeller was making a scheduled announcement and chatter started that was wrong. I have followed recruiting for a long time. I think it would be even harder in the social media age. Sorry to get sidetracked but I was going to post that top part and I thought two birds one stone.

I am from Huntington they are our rivals on many things. If there is anyone from this area they will understand this. The Marion Giants football team has 1 win. They are getting blown out every game. I never thought I would see that day. They always had one of the top football teams in the state. They are like Homestead in this area. I seen their record today to look up what class they were in. That surprised the hell out of me. I think when I was at Huntington North we lost by like a collective 200-20 in my 4 years to them. We beat them by 40 this year. We went like 20 years without beating them. Atleast their basketball team will be good again. It really hasn't since Zach Randolph was there.

The one that surprises me going into this and the reason I still feel like it COULD be IU is because Trey Lyles has not posted one thing about JB2 decision. Everyone else has. They went on that visit together. That is why I am holding on to the slimmest bit of hope. I know what kind of player he will be. I have seen him play many times. If he comes to IU, we are going to be good, very good next year.

Exactly. That makes no sense. He doesn't want 20 people to follow his lead. He wants to be the one who is right. He has raised his stock over the last year getting a lot of those right. A year ago, Evan Daniels, Goodman, or Brian Snow have no idea who he is. Now that he has got most (not all) right, they want him as a resource. Honestly, I will believe UK until hear otherwise, but I won't dismiss what he is saying. Dude is locked into this class and has been for a while. Very close with JL and the Indiana AAU scene.
