Completely agree. They, imo, are more capable of that than us in getting that. They have the players that can get really hot in a hurry and carry that team.

I could only name one team who I feel we somewhat match up with who we could knock off if everything goes right. That is UM. Who in the top 4 can we beat other than what I said? A signature win is a team that is ranked in the field. If Iowa is your signature win, that isn't good enough. We have to beat one of the top 4 and that is if we win atleast 9 in the B1G. Not sure what is so surprising about what I said. Not impossible, but like I said, not likely.

I don't see how we will be in the tournament this year. If you guys look at the schedule, and we beat the teams we just should, you are looking at another 10 wins. Things will not go perfect. I know some will say the flip side is we will beat teams we shouldn't. I honestly don't see how due to the fact we have no shooting. Our game is defense, and athleticism. We are not beating MSU, OSU, or Wisconsin that way. Those are the 3 best teams in the conference at playing that way. Plus they have shooting. UM is possible if everything went right. I think Iowa is better than us. Minny is a coin flip. Beyond that, we should beat the rest. I would expect the "rest" to pull atleast 1 off. I don't see how we get in to the tournament without a signature win. In this scenario, that is the case. We will see. Hope I am wrong, but it is hard to see right now.

We will have to win atleast 10 with our weak wins pre-conference with no signature win. We will probably have to beat one of the big dogs in conference as well now. I personally don't see that, but would be disappointed as well. I had us ultimately in the 7 seed range and we aren't close to that right now. -

Honestly, I was working yesterday during the game. My buddy text me and told me not to watch it when I got home. It is honestly the first game since 2008 I didn't watch. Not sure if I will or not. By the comments, I should leave well enough alone. -

Yep, I congratulated him on his board for this. I don't agree with everything he does or how he goes about it. He wanted a pat on the back for it, which I get. He took a lot of heat for this. That is the first time I have posted on that board in about 2 years. I will say one thing. For all of the s*** that board talks, I was never banned from there. I was banned elsewhere for leaving. If I ever feel like reading the doom and gloom of life, I know where to go. -

He took a lot of flack for this and was right. He deserves people pointing that out. It is not a fun field to be in. You have to be right. You have people hanging on to your every word, so it would be easy to ride the fence with the occasional slam dunk. Most definitely he deserves props for this. There have been times this method has bit him. Part of the fun of the profession for him. -
Welcome to the Evan Gordon show. There were players who had very solid games, but I almost feel bad bringing them up in regards to this game. Gordon was all over the place on both ends. He is a senior who has given us the last couple of games what we hoped Will would give. As down as I have been on Will lately, he really showed up on the defensive end most of the night against Bader. This was really an impressive game for the Hoosiers outside of the last minute, but most impressive for the forgotten Gordon. As a team, I am most disappointed by the last minute of the game. For 39 minutes they had more assists than turnovers. I would have loved to have been wrong when after last game I estimated it would be the only time all season that would happen. We had multiple turnovers in the last minute, and ended up with 16 versus 14 assists. Oh, and about those rebounds you guys are so used to. How about 52 against their 28? Numbers you wouldn't expect would be our shooting. We shot 50% from the field as well as shooting over 40% from 3. If we can replicate those numbers in any game this season, we will win. Individually, as I have said, it was the Evan Gordon show. He got 26 points on 10-12 shooting, and 4-5 from 3 while getting 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. That is a game folks. Jeremy was solid outside of the minute with 6 points, 10 boards, and 4 assists. Noah had 8 points and 10 boards. Yogi was in double figures with 11. Who is not a fan of what Stan and Luke bring? Man, those guys really are fun to watch at both ends. Last, but certainly not least is Troy with 13. His energy was there all game. Him and Jeremy have really brought it on both ends lately. The reason I bring up Troy last is the lasting memory of this game. Up by 30 with 2 seconds left he dives out of bounds for a ball where he appeared to feel the landing. He has to be smarter than that. Crean must talk to him and explain not only his importance, and the situation of the game. In conclusion, it was a game that was great for confidence for a number of players. The questions of where can find more scoring from may becoming clearer. Evan Gordon is a player who has been aggressive going to the rim, and that has opened his outside shooting. His success has opened other opportunities for players following him to the rim. I hope it is obvious how important another scoring threat is who can score in multiple ways. It opens up so much for this team. Yogi is hugely important, but he has fallen in love with the outside jumper. He will not be efficient doing that. Noah scores at the rim, which is crucial for this team. Gordon is the only player for this team who has shown outside shooting, a mid-range, and the ability to get to the rim. Going forward that may be crucial to this young Hoosier squad. Back to the Pacers and Heat… Oh, and this is something we all know as a tease. We are hopeful to have something new soon for the conference season. Hopefully if everything goes well, we can explain in the coming weeks.

Tom Crean's team has traditionally been in the 22% range for turnovers per possession. We are actually on par with that number. The one thing that scares me is we can't shoot the ball consistently. That is always a staple of his teams. If we can't shoot efficiently, and turn the ball over I am worried. If we can even cut it down to around 18% of the game we get a couple of more possessions. We need every possession we can get. IMO

Yeah, I have been saying he should come off of the bench for a while now. It didn't work 2 years ago when they tried it, and it isn't working now. He just has trouble getting into the game when he starts. I will agree there. -

I wouldn't say he was the worst player on the court. He shut down their best player all night. Offensively he is nonexistent. -

He shouldn't have been on the court. That said, he has to understand he can't do that. I am not a fan of Crean keeping the starters in up 30 against Oakland. Bad on both of them. -

Sorry in advance guys. I have one eye on the Heat Pacers game, and this game. Obviously its HEAT vs. Pacers. The Pacers are getting back into it so the Rapid Reaction will be a little choppy. -

Yeah, I mean I would have loved for us to put up a fight, but if you can't understand why the game went the way it did, I really don't know what to say. They are a top 5, veteran, defensively sound team playing against a young team for their first true road game that can't shoot. Last year's game was far more of a shock and something that pissed me off. They were in it for 20 minutes and then didn't show up in the 2nd half. It isn't like Crean forgot how to coach from half to half. That is an intensity and focus issue. That isn't coaching. If they would have done that to us the whole game, ok, I can see a gripe. Don't know what to tell Charlie on this one.
