Yeah, I would literally LMAO if we had to ban on a Kennesaw St. day.  Never would think that possible.

Sigh…………..  Yeah, it is really hard to understand basketball at a fundamental level.  It takes a B1G coach to understand basic basketball.

Maybe Crean can coach defense for the football team, and Wilson can coach fast paced offense for the basketball team.

Ha, the players aren't the only ones who need 10 days between games after this…  Can't recall the last 20 point halftime lead I was so frustrated.  As bad as this team we are playing is, I hope nobody brings up the score as a counterpoint to the frustration of play.  There are high school teams who could beat this team.

Agreed and I don't think that will change.  But, there is no reason we can't get to 16 a game.  So many of the turnovers are avoidable it is sickening.

Maybe that is why KJ calls Blackmon the "Sloppy Janitory"?  He wants him to come in and clean this mess up.  I can't see how very many are happy after that half.  Content yes.  Happy for Luke, yes.  Beyond that, what is there to be happy of?  We are going to turn the ball over 22 times in B1G play if we play like this.  How is the core players going to be ready to play extended minutes with these sub patterns?  Hell, they don't play more than 5 minutes at a time now.  How can they play 8 at a time?

Doyle, please do not say Yogi was fantastic after that.  He had bad turnovers.  Very bad avoidable turnovers.  I can think of 3 where he could have easily avoided them by not leaving his damn feet to make a pass.  I glad he scored 16, but those turnovers definitely take the good out of what he did by putting the ball through the hoop.  Love that dude's game, but man.  Behind the back on a 3 on 1?  Leaving your feet for every pass?  If he could cut down his turnovers we will win games we shouldn't.  IMO

Wish Crean would have done that.  That pisses me off when he does that.

This is the sloppiest, decent IU team I can remember.

That form for a freshman big is excellent.  That kid will be a 4 year star at IU while being a 3 year starter.

I agree man.  When that kid comes in good things happen.  No reason for Marlin to be out there.  Don't get it either.

Ha, beat me to it.  There is absolutely no reason that kid gets under 20 minutes a game.  You can do so much more with him on the court and move Vonleh over to the 4 while getting a lot bigger.  I could understand just one at a time if we could shoot.  Just makes more sense to have an inside presence if you can.

    Luke is a man today!
  18. Well, there isn't much to say about this one.  Normally, I type about some positives and negatives.  This won't be as in depth, because there isn't much you can learn from a team on the positive side when you have 2 walk-ons playing in the first half.  Overall, I felt they were really flat.  One thing is obvious with this team is they don't get up for these cupcakes anymore.  It has been that way for the last few.  They have some bad habits as a result.  They are very cavalier with the ball.  Normally, at this point in the season that issue has lessoned going into conference.  IU has not improved there.  There was never any doubt whether or not IU would lose this game in spite of that.     As a team, I was disappointed with the lack of intensity.  When you have 3 players closer to the cheerleaders than Coach Crean when they are on the bench, playing, things are bad.  This was that game.  This team has upside no doubt.  They just seem lost.  Last year, two players had a presence on the court no matter how they were playing.  IU does not have that this year, and it shows.  It should be noted this week was finals week.  I am not trying to make excuses for the play or even the dead crowd, but that is a reason.  Anybody who has gone through college understands how much time, preparation, and stress goes into this week.  I will assume they will look better come Sunday.   Individually, I really liked what Jeremy and Yogi brought to the game.  Also, Will has had himself a couple of good games in a row.  Really wish we would see more from Davis and Robinson at times.  They are two energetic players that just make plays when they are in the game.  Is Evan the only player in the Crean era to get a pass into the post with normalcy?  Really love the way he has played overall in the last few weeks sans the Notre Dame game.  Normally I would bring stats into this section, but our exhibition team was better than the team we were just on the court with.     I like some of you are ready for this exhibitions to be over with.  The only thing we seem to be gaining in these games are bad habits.  Sorry for the delay in getting this out there.  I was having internet issues.  If anyone has any family functions where they travel, please be safe.  Soon enough we will see where we stand with the rest of the B1G.  We may have to see where BtownBanners feels IU stacks up against the competition soon.
  19.   Ha, would you truly DVR this game if you had another game you truly would rather watch?  Hell, I would watch a High School game over this.  This is the worst scoring team in America without exaggeration coming to Bloomington.  If we don't keep them under 65 I will be highly disappointed.
  20.   I agree.  Only two players who aren't Freshman seem to have improved from the 1st game to this game.  Jeremy and Evan have effort others don't.  Hanner just needs to settle down and catch the ball before he goes to make his move.  I shouldn't be disappointed by the way Crean uses Yogi.  He has done that with his PG since his time at Marquette.  IMO, anyone who watched him in High School knows Crean is taking away his best asset, which is his vision.  He is using that vision to look for his shot, and not someone getting to the rim.  I really thought that would be our saving grace in a season we didn't have a shooter.  I thought he could get in to the lane and find a slasher.  Austin just doesn't look comfortable shooting.  That is his only chance at PT.  Beyond that the Freshman look like Freshman, but I am happy with their progression.  They will soon hit that wall.  They all do.  Really like what I see from them as we head to next year.  We are going to rely on James Blackmon a bunch next year and his ability to put up points in bunches.  Not unhappy with this team at all.  They are improving.  Just would like to see some players utilized differently.
  21.   Maybe he meant we were going to try and make them look like a SEC, Big Ten, or Big East type of team?
  22. Ha, never wore one.  I couldn't watch a game in any costume.
  23. That was an ugly half.
