  1. Why does Hanner ever put the ball on the court?
  2. I wouldn't call it Cuse just yet.  They stomped on our throat from the gate in the 2nd half.  We are still in this.  By Crean getting so pissed off you can tell he knows what we need to do and is pissed the kids don't know that.  He is proving a point right now.  I will put money on a different mindset when Stan, Noah and Yogi get back in.
  3.   Don't think Bo really did.  Their shots are falling again.  We are still able to get to the rim at will.  We just get away from it when Yogi and Will decided to start trying to hit jump shots to start the half.
  4. Johnny Marlin against Wisconsin in the 2nd half…
  5. Because of how quick he is and he is getting to the rim at will.  Add that to anybody they have put on him can't guard him.  The zone I agree with.
  6.   True, but I would rather us try something different than staying the course of what got us to this point in the season.  So far Crean has tried switching up things offensively.  We needed it.
  7. We were lost on that set.
  8.   For that reason.  Dude guarding him has 2 fouls.
  9. Damn they are hitting everything.
  10.   Nah, Charlie has better grammar.
  11. So what is this about your prolapsed colon?
  12.   That is the thing though.  Everything is at the rim.  That is where this team needs to be.  For the first time all year this team didn't try playing like last year's team.  I couldn't be happier right now.  Wasn't expecting this team to show up.
  13. 5 Turnovers.  If we stay around 10 we absolutely deserve a win.
  14. That was far and away the best half we have played all season.  They are the better team and we are within an arm's reach.  If we come out with this intensity they will have to earn one tonight.  Something they haven't had to do often in the prior 12.
  15. This is one of those games where I work out during the game.  Easier to work out when you are pissed.  Everything we are good at, they are better at stopping.  Everything we are bad at, they are great at taking advantage.  They don't turn the ball over and make you play in half court.  They make you turn the ball over and get quick scores.  They don't foul.  Not a lot to like in this game.  We have to play a different brand of basketball to be in it down the stretch.
  16.   See I disagree with this whole rumor for one simple fact about Crean's coaching.  Crean wouldn't draw up puff, puff, pass.  He would draw up puff, puff, f***ing turnover.    Edit:  This was mean and a low blow ^^^^
  17. Well.  That was the weirdest game IU has won in some time.  I should start by saying a win is a win.  When you are struggling, that is the most important feeling you need to find.  Winning.  Today, it wasn't pretty.  At times it was downright odd.  Jeff Howard for Noah Vonleh, offense for defense anyone?  It was good to see Noah put this team on his back and score the first 12 points when nobody else could find the rim.  We limited turnovers as a team and in turn gave ourselves a chance to win.  In the end that is all that matters.  This was a game we didn't back into a win.  We went out and took it after trailing 4 at half.     As a team the most glaring statistic was the 13 assists to 13 turnovers.  Obviously, a better team would have beat us today the way we shot the ball.  The key thing to take away from that stat is when things weren't going good, they kept with it and didn't fail.  Ultimately, PSU quit hitting everything.  We won this game at the line.  We hit 29-35 Free throws on the day.  We did a good job going to the rim and not settling when we weren't hitting shots.  We only hit 36% on the day.  Both Will and Stan were 3-10 and Yogi was 4-13.  We flat struggled from the field today.  Even on a day that seen a possession where Jeff Howard had like 100 rebounds we only out rebounded them 37-32.  I would be willing to bet the splits from 1st half to 2nd are pretty wide.  When Howard came in during the 2nd half the energy came up.  We even had the announcers saying Jeff Howard and Austin Etherington should be MVPs.     Individually outside of Noah Vonleh it isn't too pretty on the surface.  Noah had 19 and 6 while carrying the Hoosiers in the 1st half, not letting the game get out of hand.  Yogi did not have the greatest game from the field, but he was fantastic in a role we have all been screaming for.  He had 7 assists to 1 turnover.  If he gives us something close to that the rest of the year we will be better for it.  I also liked what Troy brought with his 8 points and 3 blocks.  He was very active today, but disappeared in the 2nd half.  Evan brought us 8, and Will brought 9 and 5.  Austin hit a key 3 down the stretch for the Hoosiers.  Jeff Howard and his wonderful hair brought energy to the game that was needed.  Stan struggled from the field, but that kid is just around every play when he is on the court.  Nothing on Jeremy Hollowell?  Well, he didn't play.  It is pretty obvious this isn't part of the game plan.  We have seen some possibilities out there, so I won't re-hash that here.     All in all, it wasn't pretty, but it is a win.  We needed that more than anything.  Going into a game with Wisconsin we needed something good to happen.  These kids fight.  I like that.  Unfortunately, we are in a league where fight isn't everything.  Talent level is high.  Coaching levels are higher.  We will see very quickly if the kids can take this positive and go on a run needed to make the tournament.  Until then it is time to celebrate a W.
  18. The only thing I am saying, I would be shocked if by Crean's actions and words post game about Jeremy needing to get his head right, he didn't do something along these lines.  We know its not academic, or Crean wouldn't have a say.  Crean would never sit a starter for a whole game that was close to prove a point.  This is Crean we are talking about.  Bobby Knight?  Ok.  Crean.  Not a chance.  I believe he would do something like this if it wasn't basketball related.  If it was University related he would have to disclose that.

    IU vs. PSU Post-Game Thread

Sometimes winning when it seems you can't  find a way to is the hardest lesson for a young team.  Good or bad team we beat, we did it on the road.  Proud of the kids.
