^^^^^ I know I have seen this game like 20 times this season watching IU.
-
Give it time. They are freshman who are playing too fast. Bet they have 2 more stretches of 5 min plus without a FG and get beat by 18.
-
I am glad Randle is a whiny f***. Dude plays like a man, but it is easy to not like him. Before the end of the night I want Harrell to lay the hammer to him.

It was a trick statement.

I am not. This s***show is too great to turn.

I hope UK gets beat by 40.

Is Coach Crean feeling the heat?
mdn82 replied to Plasticjimmyhat's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
All 3 very valid points, and I would agree with. I think at Indiana you always feel pressure. I doubt there is truly ever a time you feel complacent. I think even more so after watching the University fire a top 3 of all time coaches. Hell, even UConn let Calhoun retire. They gave him that option. Knight didn't get that. Different times for sure, but comfort probably won't happen here. -
Some guy on ESPN was kind of dissing Crean tonight

That is the inherent problem with our offense. It is based on players making plays. In a zone you have to know where the ball is going if not before then very quickly after you get it. When you are thinking of 200 things you could do with the ball as soon as you get it, you will struggle against a zone. Which we have. I agree we will miss Will a TON against the zone. Perimeter shooters mask this issue if you find them before the zone finds them, but that is another issue. Hopefully we go to the offense we ran against UM when we see the zone next. We will look much improved. -
There are more ways than that to attack a zone. You can use ball reversal, which seems to be what we try to do it's just a very half hearted attempt. Sadly when we reverse the ball we use slow lazy passes and let the defense get reset before we make the next pass.
That is because we dribble before we truly reverse. Drives me nuts when I see it. The ball should very rarely hit the floor against a zone unless you are getting to the middle. You should never dribble up top. Does nothing. I will only say this once. There is one word in particular I will not put up with. I don't give a damn how pissed any of you are. I better never see the word retarded on this website ever again. You know who you are. I edited. Just know I will do my best to go above protocol for that word. That is ridiculous over a game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
I have no idea what was actually said. Just referencing the childish way of handling it.
. If you have no idea what was said why interject like you do? You said he was joking then you say you have no idea what was said. Ok? Childish? Ok, next time we ban without this warning or discussion. Fair enough with you? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
It seemed like it was a pretty civil discussion on his end. I agree that it isn't a word that should be used, but I would never let someone else's views upset me so much. It is like when people let jokes upset them... they are JOKES, and if they upset you then you are weak. Just because his views aren't the same as yours, doesn't make him wrong and it sure doesn't make him "uncivil".
Calling our players retarded in any tone will never be tolerated on this board. I agree Calbert had a sweet shot. His shot didn't have the range of Alford. Alford only had one year with the 3 point line. That 3 point line actually moved him closer to the rim in his senior year. His range extended far beyond that his first 3 years. Alford shooting from where he was at 53% would make Jordy Hulls look like Bracey Wright. When he missed, you were shocked. His FT were the best FT I have seen. His stroke was just so consistent. I would also put Jordy and Brian Evans on that list as well as Calbert. The whole 76 team should be on that list. Part of that was the offense put them in a position to succeed, but they could also shoot the ball. IU has been fortunate to have some shooters throughout the years.

Yep, I sat in the UL section rocking IU gear. My best friend is a huge Cardinal fan. We knew either IU or UL would be there last year so we got tickets with a rule that no matter what the other person went. UL fans are a rowdy group. They were actually fairly cool. Didn't see many Duke fans in Indy which surprised me. MSU fans were a-holes. Maybe it was just the ones we were sitting by, but they were frickin annoying. Oregon fans I thought outnumbered Duke fans. That surprised me. Maybe it was their colors that stood out? It was a great time last year. This year will be murderous lol with UK and UL tonight.

Alford. Not even close

Stubhub actually had fairly good priced seats for Sunday. I got mine at $55 per on the lower side of the 300 level. I thought that was fairly decent considering. I seen some 100 levels for 180, but IU isn't there. I will go as a college fan unless UK is there.

Why is it every coach who has his first run is all of the sudden an up and coming coach? If we get rid of Crean for $10+ million we better get a top 10 coach. Not an up and comer.
-
Absolutely. Love that book.

Bob Hammel. Great writer. That was a large reason why Knight liked him. He could articulate what he was trying to get across in a way that didn't make him sound like an ass.

Like to see Dave and PG with pick and roll.
