This fight reminds me of Penn vs. Edgar.
-
Someone needs to tell him he doesn't get 5 rds for the 1st. He needs to go with what got him to the end of the 1st. Hopefully that ball kick will wake him up.
-
Dillishaw can't go in like this.
-
Don't think Dillishaw is ready for Barao. At this point in his career he will be lucky to make it to the 3rd round with someone as creative.
-
It looked like a HW fighting a MW. That was unreal. Even equal 205'ers or any weight class doesn't do that more than once in a fight. He threw him wherever he wanted. He puts his weight on Jon Jones it could be ugly. The one thing Jones has that he would have to use in that fight is length. If Cormier closes the gap, Jones has nothing for that strength.
-
They just announced earlier Gus was offered and accepted for late August for Jones. Jones hadn't yet. But, would Cormier really wait until the end of the year to fight again at the earliest? Nobody that deserves to fight for 205 belt more than Cormier beyond Gus. But, that is a long wait for a still somewhat raw Cormier.
-
Dude needs to retire. Tough dude, but dudes like him, Rua, and Diego Sanchez are going to end up a vegetable if they keep going. Don't want to see that.
-
This is as dominant as a fighter in any weight class you will ever see. Unbelievable. Hendo is not a top 5 at 205 anymore, but he is top 10-15 and a veteran. Wow.
-
205 is insane right now at the top.
-
Holy Shit!!! Cormier is special at 205.
-
Who is all watching? Barao is like watching Aldo for me. Dude won't lose, but you will always have that "Holy Shit" moment. Like the Lawler fight. Cormier and Hendo is interesting for me. Would love to see Hendo land a bomb.

(2015) C Caleb Swanigan to MSU
mdn82 replied to ccgeneral's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Ok, let me add a few things. I have been away and didn't see the questions until now. Barnes is a guardian. Most elite players have a handler, that part is not unusual. Caleb is going to one of the nicer areas and public schools in this area. If not the nicest. I don't want this to sound racist in the least, because I don't mean it to be. Homestead is the whitest school in the Fort Wayne area. Southwest Allen county is the rich of the rich in Fort Wayne. For Caleb to go there, from a handler, there would be some recruiting going on behind the scenes. Hell, Huntington North did it for lesser talent before. I look at it as a chance for Caleb to go to a nicer school without inner city feel. He can truly concentrate on basketball and only basketball there. I don't want to speculate on his upbringing to this point, but this to me seems like a basketball move by his "guardian/handler". I truly hope this doesn't sound overly racist, because I don't intend it to be. But, if you knew the area, you know why a kid of this type of skill went to Homestead. There is Homestead and then there is Canterbury as neighbors. One you have to pay for. The other is public. But, public in that area is the rich kids of Fort Wayne. -

Crean $20,000 for perfect academic progress rate
mdn82 replied to Basketball4iU's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Hopefully you can read this. Don't make it personal or you will get a timeout. If you can't make an argument without being a prick, your argument sucks. Oh, and maybe we should clue YOU in on something since you like caps. A kid puts on his resume Recreational Sports Management. Oh, and he also puts on that same resume he played at IU 4 years. You still think he has trouble finding a job with something along the field he wants? -
No you didn't, but that wasn't why. It is believed to have been a drug test failure (marijuana). Although trying to find something definitive won't happen, so please don't take that as gospel.

Agreed. Some hating is fine if they have something substantial to add. Just hating to get a reaction is pretty much gonna be done or some are going to have to find a different board that fits them better. -
Why aren't we recruiting guys from Indiana?
mdn82 replied to coblehoosier09's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well, if you believe that, then you should believe Crean when he says JB2 was who he wanted and got out of 2014. This thread wasn't touched for 5 days, and you had to revive it with this? If I don't see you again, have a good one. -
NBA Draft Lottery (Cleveland at 1... Again)

Lol, even as Hoosier fans we know who what the "Cleveland pick" would be. Noah Vonleh. -

I think they would have to trade an unprotected 2015 for that to happen on top of this year. Cause they have nothing left to trade. -

I could see Noah as high as 4 with Orlando (would be intriguing) and as low as 8 with Sacramento. Really some good situations for him to be in from 4-8. Orlando, Utah, Boston, LA, and Sacramento. Worst place would probably be LA. Best place would be Boston for him or Sacramento. -

And they should be. I think at some point the losing will get to him. He did a phenomenal job with what he was given this last season.
