I think he has a hard time going with the flow of the game and trusts his matchups he circles pregame. His subs seem to be predetermined and have little bearing on what the game is giving us.

Ok this is a fan site with the mood set by the fans. That means there will be threads loving players, coaches, recruiting, and aspects of the way we play. There will also be those vehemently against those aspects. As long as you guys don't make it individual against another poster or person thread is started about it is fair game. If you know a thread is going to make you mad, do not open and post derailing the purpose of the thread. We have seen many times from both sides this happening and we are going to put a stop to it. There is the warning to both sides.

I went further in baseball than anything.  Unfortunately, I was on Sean Kline's team in high school.  Got old pretty quick.  But, got to meet RMK through him.  One of the nicest people you will ever meet if you are courteous.  

I agree with DD more than anyone.  It is the modern game.  We have to get a big.  I don't know if Crean will get us to where we want to be.  I disagree with a lot of things he does, but he has far more information than any of us could hope to have.

Hell, I think Crean is a horrible coach.  But I would most definitely take his clapping, diet coke sipping, son kissing coaching over you.  Unless if it is tennis of course.  Cause you seem to have that down.  I need a little work on my backhand.  Hasn't been quite the same since the Korean War.  Please do not have a flashback on my account.  

Lol...  1950s rec league doesn't count cupcake.  Although the Rick Barry free-throw is something I could stand to learn cupcake.  Can you coach me at tennis?  Maybe we can be a mixed team?  

Just remember cupcake.  Just since you own a fantasy league team, doesn't mean you know what is going on.  You might have to play a sport past the 5th grade to make the generalizations you do.  God knows you didn't play sports when you bring up the things you do that you think make a difference.     Edit:  See, I can be a condescending prick too....  Aren't we two peas in a pod?  Besties?

I guess it is true what they say.  Evolve or get left on the outside.  Looks like our perception of what is important is stuck in the 80s.  Unlike other schools we never evolved.  So, in a roundabout way I should blame the old-timers since we aren't elite anymore?  If I have to listen to batshit crazy responses as to what kids my age give a damn about in a coach (clapping, drinking diet coke, pacing), then I blame people your age for not evolving and keeping us elite.  Because, your generation is when we quit being elite.  Not mine.   Edit:  Now I see why you enjoy making generalizations toward Crean like you do as a person.  I am having a blast now cupcake.  

Read it again cupcake...  Yes I played sports.  I never said I played in that era.  Coaches would have ended up in jail when I first played sports 25 years ago if they did what he did.  His antics towards the refs, media were not common.  I will let you relive your glory days from 40 years ago I guess since that is the outdated standard we must have.

Guys we appreciate everything added into this board first and foremost. One thing we would appreciate is not starting a thread with every thought when it comes to Coach Crean. As mods we have honestly been overwhelmed by the amount of threads over the last couple of weeks. There are plenty of threads to choose from where you should find a place to post in. Going forward we will try as mods to clean up the multiple threads. We don't want your voice to get lost in the cleanup so please try to post in opened threads. Thanks again!

I don't think we made fun of him. We said, "he is the f'ing man." I do not think what Crean does (clapping wise), drinks, or looks like has any bearing whatsoever on the floor. Knight did most of his damage when it was uncommon to do the things he was doing. People were scared shitless of him because he was uncommon. His shenanigans were abusive. Different era. He couldn't get away with today what he did then no matter how good he was.
