Then play him five at a time. It’s on the coach to maximize the good or limit the bad. He hasn’t done a good job at that with certain players imo. He has to find a way to get Devonte on track for whatever short or long bursts. Or limit how much he hurts us. Devonte should be very aware of how we can beat good teams without him. I think we go further with good Devonte. If good Devonte is only available for about 5 minutes then 5 it is. If it’s like last game we can no longer wait 20 to find out. I can agree with this also. Same thought process for me I said to Joe. Test it. Throw him in and luckily most every night you know what you got within 2-3 minutes. Do what we did last game. Try him for short stretches with a quick pull. The problem is if he has a great game which he is capable of, what is done the following games? Longer leash earlier? I hope not. I just think the last game should be the model for seeing if Devonte has it that game. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Yes we do. But we also have four guards when all are playing within themselves have ability to be much better and fresh. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Agreed. It would be nice to know the formula to see how much efficiency is weighted. Right now it seems pretty high. It’s years like this not just because of IU. More so teams like a PU that ends up creating a need to adjust the formula. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

He didn’t give him one the other night. I anticipate if Green comes out and is extremely negative net like the other night he won’t last long. We will see though. Hard to predict when a senior plays like a freshman. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Working on it man. The rig is serving its purpose today. At this point it’s more superstitious than anything [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

Worried about the early crowd. Going again, but the liquored up student section was a lot like Devonte Green the other night. Boom or bust. Hope they show up without the hangover today. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

Pregame we saw a group flipping coins at MSU players from behind the basket. One of the MSU staff went over and talked to the group. There was a group of three or four girls. Didn’t make it a big deal. The students showed up last night. I don’t know how it came across tv, but that was the hottest in person crowd I have been to since the UNC game in November 2012. Personally I think they won us that game. Izzo kept them in the locker room until 3 minutes before the game started which is unusual for him. I think a lot had to do with how hot the students were before the game started. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

That was the most amped crowd I have seen in a few years in person. That crowd was locked in 30 minutes before the game started. Ok, now to the not so positive aspects of the crowd. Twice they had to get on the mic and tell the crowd we were about to cause IU a technical. If you can’t be more creative than a “**** you” chant, I don’t know what to say. That was a consistent chant. Wasn’t one of. It was before the game. During the game. A few times. Throwing the bottle? That was close to Vic. Not cool. If you suck that much at throwing, you shouldn’t throw things. Again, not the only thing thrown. We are better than tonight as a crowd and I was trashed. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

Did you guys hear them threaten the crowd with a technical over the f*** you Tillman chants? Would be surprised if that wasn’t bleeped out. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Oh he is the most animated I have seen. From where I sit after the first time he sat him he screamed, “sit on the ******* bench” while making an animated gesture. After this last time he didn’t scream at him but was talking to him. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

That was close. Nobody snitched on the water bottle thrower. Cops are still in the crowd and everywhere here to be honest. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners

(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
mdn82 replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Yeah I was a year ahead of him. I couldn’t have got away with the things Sean did in school. It’s kind of funny in a way, but Sean was our Luke Brown. Our town was the same way. With Kramer it just wasn’t as big of a deal. But RMK coming to your gym versus a young Painter. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

(2021) G Luke Brown to Ball State
mdn82 replied to HoosierCoop's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
Yes because of his size, speed, and competition. It didn’t add Louisville when talking about IU and PU. It said he has suitors like IU and PU. He does play at a high level but he picked a bad year. 2021 is absolutely loaded in this state. It said he watched a Louisville game in person (6 other recruits were at). It didn’t say how IU and PU were suitors (they haven’t been watching him). I have seen nothing that says either team is interested in him. IU has quite a few guards with size that Archie is after. I see us getting Wesley. I personally wouldn’t look too much into one game. I saw Sean Kline light up Zach Randolph right after ZBO’s gun charge to win sectional in 1999. Sean had like 36 and 20. We hadn’t beat Marion in years. Sean had a great game. I just think putting too much stock in one game with a thought of the type of player without watching it is dangerous. There is a strong reason why no national analyst has him on their radar. They are at every event LB was at. These coaches are at every AAU tournament without a single offer or any high major team recruiting him. I hope the kid goes to a situation where can have a Bryce Drew type of career at a mid major. That would be fantastic. I think CM gets drafted and plays MLB. Not all bad. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

In that article it discusses “suitors”, and discusses IU and PU. It doesn’t say how they are suitors. Then follows up with they would watch him if it weren’t for baseball. They aren’t watching. If being a suitor means we are involved then we are involved with a lot of kids. There have never been reports that IU explicitly watched Montgomery. Much like they haven’t explicitly watched Luke Brown. It’s hard in this state for our assistants or head coaches to not be noticed when they watch kids. 2021 is loaded in this state. We may recruit CG or LB. We haven’t yet. It’s more likely CG gets drafted in MLB draft than him getting an offer from IU. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.daytondailynews.com/sports/archie-miller-hopes-mckinley-wright-sticks-with-dayton/hdY9qBRD1UUS9iHUTNRkuL/amp.html There is the article on what he said to Dakich. McKinley Wright the day before that article had an interview with Darren Wolfson saying he had a spot on IU if he wanted it. https://mobile.twitter.com/DWolfsonKSTP/status/846480341565091841 Al and Clifton are only two that requested a release from LOI. Justin Smith did not. Therefore we could not kick him off of the team. We could have granted their release. We could not have openly recruited McKinley Wright due to him being signed but he knew he had a spot if he wanted. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.indystar.com/amp/100069540 Al and Clifton recommitted the first week of April and McKinley Wright was towards the end of April if my memory serves correct. If we had a spot for McKinley that he is openly discussing that would mean he chose someone else. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -

I agree. I often think he is the most interesting man alive. That and he lives about 30 from my family in southern Florida. Who wouldn’t want to visit nips? Plus Naples. I know nips is rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app

Hey man, I have seen pics of him. If he can say to my face what he wants to say I would be cool with him. I legit go down to Cape Coral twice a year so I have no problems stopping in to say hey. Plus I need to go out with Nips fishing. Who doesn’t enjoy Gulf fishing? Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app
