My opinion is if he were that good he would already be coaching at a major college. Ask Mark Trestman what winning at every level gets you when you get to an actual pressure situation. If he were a homerun someone would have had him over the last 17 years. Before you say he was holding out for a prime job if he were that confident in his ability he wouldn't worry about coaching at a lower major conference. It's good to disagree on this though. I have seen what we were under Knight and that is what people want to fire Crean for. I do not see enough major differences to say he is a homerun. To me he is a double at best. I don't think he could make it at IU. His personality just what I have seen in interviews would struggle here just like Crean. Recruiting would be a big question mark. His longevity at the mid major level would be the biggest question mark. We will see but I truly would be disappointed in getting him.

Pretty sure Crean got 1 vote. That's the same year we were ranked number 1 and had just went through the Perea/Baylor/Adams issues.

Marshall is honestly the last person on everyone's short list I would like to have. We will be doing this again in seven years.

Part of that is not being good. Part of that is playing so many tourney teams. We only lost to one team not in tourney. So really only one bad loss. Not many teams can tout that.
