I'm worried about in-state recruiting.
mdn82 replied to FKfootball's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
IMO we could twist that and say as 19 yr olds Zeller was better. That is what is relevant for this convo if I were playing devils advocate. Dirk had far more upside but when Zeller played for IU he was better. -

Soooo.... Rawle Alkins or Eron Gordon? If this is a black and white, one or the other type of a convo. There is your legitimate Indiana vs out of state comparison. There is plan A and plan B. Who you got? -
(2016) SG Eron Gordon to Seton Hall

If this were the case I prefer plan A. -
Can't wait for the main event or that co.

Even if they won a title there is 0% chance of them being the best ever. -
Time to drink and let others fire explosives.

I f'ing hate the interim title but understand given how much they pushed McGOAT. Mendes is gonna try riding Connor all night long. Good fight but man. What could have been.

At some point you would hope some people would learn maybe they are a part of the problem when every place they go sucks. Good luck kid. Nobody asked you to ever agree with anyone. That's a you problem if that is truly what you see out of all of this. -

Its not even close and you know it. You know my kids can hold a more mature conversation than you. Why must you continually be a pain in the ass for the sake of being a pain in the ass? We have asked nicely. We let you turn an IU board into a NBA board. Everyone knows you are young by the way you post. So why must you be this way toward everyone in general? PMs haven't worked. Warnings haven't worked. What are you hoping to accomplish here? -

On stars I am of the opinion you have to have some 5* to win. History proves that. Beyond those stars you have to surround those stars with respective quality role players. Typically those are niche 4*. There are outliers like Vic but the Dukes of the world have used this formula successfully for years. Whether you underperform in the tournament is irrelevant for this discussion. This mold of a team consistently gives you a better chance. That is a start. -
Some miscommunication cause his team at the SHOOTO event said it hasn't been decided. He had to get a shot in the ribs and see how his ribs react over the next week. Mendes is preparing in case.

Honestly, that is probably the best thing that could happen to Vonleh. He seems like a perfect Portland project. I hope Cody gets out of Charlotte too.

2012 was Crean's best team. When you have 2 players that would have carried any team in the NCAA in that season on one team it's hard to top. You add seniors in Hulls and Watford. We don't have that stretch 4. We don't have that consistent bullseye shooter of Hulls. We will be very good offensively but I would be surprised to see this team be more efficient. They surely will not rank in the top 30 defensively like that team. To me this is Crean's 2nd most talented team. Hopefully they go further. -
Completely agree

I don't blame her. 4 years of people nitpicking her son's every move like he owes them something would be hard for me as a parent. A lot of people live behind glass walls through protection of a keyboard. Bob Knight would have hated message boards more than the media.

To the dads out there happy dads day. Will start this here so people can see. My dad was the reason I was an IU fan so boards like this have more meaning on days like this.

Here is why Jordan is the greatest player of all time. Lebron has similar skills but not on his level. How many titles did Jordan had before Rodman came? What did the Bulls turn into with Rodman? 72 win team. Jordan didn't have a large role in Pippens career? Horace Grant? Bill Cartwright? Toni Kucoc? BJ Armstrong? Steve Kerr? John Paxson? Will Perdue? That is who MJ won 6 titles with. You think Lebron wins 6 carrying this team? Hell no. Lebron went 2 for 4 with D wade and Bosh. D Wade = Pippen. Bosh > Grant. 4 opportunities for James with the Heat. 4 for Jordan without Rodman. I will take Jordan and how great he was at both ends of the floor over Lebron. For me it's not close, but without a doubt Lebron is top 5 of all time. Edit: I should have also added how dominant Jordan's teams were in the playoffs. Once he won that first title was he even pushed to more than a couple game 7s? I doubt it. His teams dominated due to him with the players I listed. Let's not act like Pippen was = to Kobe or something. He was a role player that hovered just south of 20 ppg. Rodman was a rebounder. Jordan carried his teams. -

Yes for this season when he could sit with 5 other people who are on scholarship like every other team.
